Former Bluebird Scott Malone will be playing Premier League football next season after completing his move to Huddersfield Town yesterday.
Scott Malone set for Premier League?
03/07/17
He played a key role in Fulham’s ultimately unsuccessful bid for the play-offs, but former Bluebird Scott Malone could be on his way to the promised land of the Premier League anyway.
The infamous sources at Sky Sports claim top-flight new boys Huddersfield Town are in talks to sign the 26-year-old, who left City last summer in a deal that saw Jazz Richards go the other way.

Laughable if this happens. Never rated him and he'd look well out of his depth in the premiership IMO

always thought he was underrated by us.

Me too, good going forward he had our second highest assists behind Whitts but another that splits opinion.

Really??
I'd take Jazz Richards over 'Molly' Malone any day!

Just shows what you lot know I thought he was badly treated by some on here he did alright for us and he had a great season last year with Fulham and now wanted by a premiership team he must be gutted what you experts think and proves he is a better player than you thought.

I actually agree with you that Malone did "okay" for City and was never really accepted (QPR goal apart) by many City fans, including myself
However, a Premier League player?? Really??
I certainly didn't see that in him and I stand by my comment that Jazz Richards is the better fit for Cardiff City
I wish him luck but people who are concerned that Huddersfield might get a decent price for him from Fulham need to remember that few cried when he and Jazz exchanged clubs at the start of last season!

I think he done ok for us too. I believe the only reason people didn't like him was because he was Russell Slade's first signing and it was big Russ people had the problem with. Which meant malone was the fall guy

Absolutely no way on earth is this guy a Premier League player...ok going forward but absolutely atrocious defender

So a unproven move to Huddersfield is proof none of us know what we are talking about?
Personally I think Huddersfield are making a huge mistake if this rumour is true. SM is useful going forward but can't defend for toffee and on a number of occasions I saw him duck tackles. If he repeats that in the PL he will get slaughtered.

Defender pens a three-year contract
- Scott Malone completes transfer to Huddersfield Town
- Defender signs from Fulham for an undisclosed fee
- Comments from Head Coach David Wagner
Huddersfield Town has today completed the permanent signing of defender Scott Malone from Fulham.
The 26 year-old left back joins the Terriers from Sky Bet Championship side Fulham for a fee that will remain undisclosed at the request of the Cottagers.
Malone has put pen to paper on a three year contract, with Huddersfield Town having the option to extend the deal by a further season in 2020.
Scott will be a familiar name to most Town fans after a standout year for the London club, which resulted in him being named in both the EFL and PFA’s Championship Teams of the Year as Fulham reached the Play-Off semi-finals.
An attack-minded full back, Scott also got on the scoresheet at the John Smith’s Stadium for his club last season.
Huddersfield Town Head Coach David Wagner commented:
“I’m excited to welcome Scott to Huddersfield Town. Our fans will have seen in our games against Fulham last season what a good player he is and I know his abilities will suit our style of play very well.
“Scott is a good physical presence and is a very capable defender, plus he adds a lot going forward. He shows good football intelligence to time his forward runs and can setup goals for teammates and scoring them himself.
“We already have a very good left back in Chris Löwe and a real young talent in Tareiq Holmes-Dennis, but as we enter our first Premier League season it is so important to have competition and the ability to rotate our side, as we did so successfully last season.”
