Turkish side showing interest in star Cardiff defender - The72
Monday 12th June 2017
The centre-back’s contract at the Bluebirds expires later this month, with boss Neil Warnock revealing the players desire to leave the club last week as contract talks proved fruitless.
The 28-year old Gabon international joined the club back in 2014, from French side Lorient for a fee of around £4.5 million. He has gone on to make over 70 appearances for the Welsh side, but only 21 of them came in 2016/17 after an injury-hit year after suffering a knee knock paying for his home country in the Africa Cup of Nations in January.
But Turkish outfit Sivasspor, who have just been promoted to the country’s top division are keen on securing the services of the defender.
Warnock has already made three signings ahead of the 2017/18 campaign, bringing in goalkeeper Neil Etheridge from Walsall, winger Nathaniel Mendez-Laing from Rotherham and right-back Callum Paterson from Hearts.
But he is yet to address his centre-back issues, with the futures of captain Sean Morrison – subject of a £3m bid from Cardiff’s Championship rivals Sheffield Wednesday last week – and Manga needing to be resolved before Warnock can continue to re-shape his defence.
Peter Whittingham has also been linked with a move away from the club in recent days, with both Blackburn Rovers and Aston Villa linked wit the midfielder.
Manga has previously been linked with Turkish giants Galatasaray.

Turkish outfit Sivasspor interested in signing Cardiff City defender Bruno Manga - Reports
By Ian Mitchelmore
Monday 12th June 2017
Turkish side Sivasspor are interested in signing Cardiff City defender Bruno Manga, according to reports.
The centre-back's current contract with the Bluebirds expires at the end of this month, with Neil Warnock previously revealing that talks with the player over a new deal had proved fruitless.
The Yorkshireman said he planned to meet the central defender when he returned from international duty this week.
But Turkish football site Futbol Arena claim that Sivasspor are interested in securing the services of the Cardiff man having just been promoted into the top division in Turkey.
Manga joined the Bluebirds from French side Lorient in the 2014 summer transfer window and has become a firm favourite with the Cardiff faithful in his three seasons in the Welsh capital.
He made 22 appearances in all competitions for Cardiff last season, although he missed more than two months of action in the New Year after suffering a knee injury while on international duty with Gabon during the Africa Cup of Nations in January.

I would like to see us keep Manga but close to £5 million for a player that has suffered his fair share of injuries during his time with us is an amount we cannot turn our noses up at. Provided the money from his sale is re-invested, I wouldn't totally object to his departure.

Unfortunately Manga is out of contract and therefore we will not receive any transfer fee for him at all.
