' The magic of away days '

For those of you that have travelled to an away match whether it was just the one off or you attend every away match - what do you enjoy most about it?

Meeting up and travelling with friends. visiting different grounds that you may have or not been to before. Travelling to different places for a short period of time. The football itself, the pride of supporting your local club away.
how many people travel by themselves? It's one of those things that is completely fine to do by yourself. Personally for me it's the pride of following my club away and Hoping to take all 3 points from the team we are playing! :bluebird:

I rarely travel away now, although I used to when I was younger. One of my favourite days was at Glanford Park back in the 90's when we won the Div 3 title. The ayatollah was in full swing that day, and the services were full of City supporters wearing Arab headgear. It was quite funny when some real Arabs decided to stop at the same services as many of these City fans, and you can imagine the chants that came from those City fans when these Arabs walked in. Something along the lines of do the Ayatollah, Ayatollah. I expect there are other fans on here who will remember that day well.

For me, nothing beats the buzz of following City away. Travelling with your mates and enjoying the whole away day experience no matter whether we win, lose or draw (winning is a bonus!),the pre match pub, the feeling that it's Bluebirds against the rest and being part of that Bluebirds Family, when I lose that buzz I will know it's time for the armchair! :bluescarf: :ayatollah: :bluebird:
