Report: Cardiff interested in Newcastle United's Grant Hanley

The Newcastle United centre-back is said to be on Cardiff City's radar despite interest from Aston Villa and Derby County.
According to a report from the Mirror, Cardiff City have joined the race to sign Newcastle United's Grant Hanley this summer.
The 25-year-old only arrived at St. James' Park last year, signing a five-year contract after leaving Blackburn Rovers in a bid to help the Magpies make an immediate return to the top flight.
While Rafa Benitez's side managed that, securing the Championship title in the process, Hanley was hardly used and it would be no surprise to see the Magpies cash in this summer, especially when you consider they are only likely to strengthen again in the upcoming transfer window.
Hanley still has plenty to offer the right club and Cardiff could do with his experience and quality as they look to mount their own promotion push in 2018.
The Scotland international racked up nearly 200 appearances for Blackburn and will be desperate to find a club where he can play week in, week out.
The Mirror claims Hanley is on a weekly wage of £45,000 at Newcastle and Cardiff are unlikely to match that, meaning he will have to take a significant pay cut if he does sign for the Bluebirds.
Derby are said to have already made a £4million bid for the player with Villa also waiting in the wings.
Cardiff finished this season in 12th place in the second tier and will be looking to push for the top six next time round.
