Will Nathan Blake put a lid on Blakey's Bootroom?

Fri Jun 02, 2017 2:24 pm

Nathan Blake is a well known figure in the world of Welsh football and because of this, Fans of Cardiff City enjoyed watching what the Cardiff City Legend thoughts were on matter at Cardiff City, this was called Blakey's Bootroom, and it used to be once a week but now that the former Cardiff Legend has been appointed as the assistant manager of Goytre will he simply put an end to the whole Podcast? or will he just put aside the whole Blakey's Bootroom thing until he leaves his role, because lets face it if Nathan Blake gets a promotion for a Manager Job at Goytre he will certainly put aside Blakey's' Bootroom.

So will there be light at the end of the tunnel for the whole Podcast of will it simply end?

My Thoughts: I wish Nathan Blake all the best for the future and certainly for his Assistant Manager role at Goytre, and wish he would return with the podcast one day. :ayatollah:

I would guess so as he'll be involved every Saturday afternoon so won't be watching City.

Decent player but 'Cardiff City legend'?
130 odd appearances and 30 odd goals? I don't think so.

Never a Legend, I quite liked Blake as a footballer as he had talent, but was very lazy in my opinion and never management material, changes his opinions like the weather.

Blake always came across as an early form of the stereotypical lazy and selfish footballer. Left us the first chance he got. I always think he was a bit overrated. Undoubtedly had the technical ability but lacked the right attitude. I've always felt as a pundit he's just always tapped into what is the most popular view amongst fans and not necessarily the correct one. He's often labelled as outspoken but I think he's quite the opposite. He reminds me of the likes of Alan Shearer, Martin Keown, and Danny Murphy. He plays it safe. He doesn't dig very deep with his analysis. The equivalent of just doing the bare minimum to pick up the cheque.

My esteem for him went up when I was told that he saved a grass roots club in Newport out of his own pocket without any publicity. I like that sort of thing. And no, it wasn't Cwnty before any says!

bit unfair mate..we were the equivalent of league1 and a premiership side came in for him...players just dont turn that sort of move down..
i also felt he was a bit unlucky at international level ,with his career overlapping with so many of our better forwards.

Hope not I like his show should bring Tucker back though.

Blakey said that Tucker can only come back if he is made to wear a special pong-proof hermatically sealed suit. Blakey told me this when he was trying out gasmasks in the army surplus shop in town.
