ALTERNATIVES TO 3.5M GALLAGHER

Thu Jun 01, 2017 1:51 pm

There are lots of players we could be targeting for the price talked about for sam gallagher. personally i think we should be looking at a different style of striker but if we are going for a big striker similar to zohore there are plenty of options available which i have listed some below, be interesting to see peoples thoughts, personally i think 3.5m on gallagher is to much

liam boyce 24 goals in 41 appearances
adam rooney 19 goals in 52 appearances
benik afobe 6 goals 33 appearances
darren bent 13 goals 42 appearances

all of the above are similar to gallagher and apart from afobe i dont think they would cost the money that is being mentioned for gallagher

last point
if we are looking for a man to play in behind the striker mo diame would be a good option

i just think 3.5m for a youngster who yes has potential but has had one season with rovers got relegated and scored 11 in 40+appearances im not sure thats what you want to place all your budget on or the best part of it, what about cameron jerome

You obviously wasn't at Elwood Park towards the end of the season Gallagher was outstanding he tore us apart his workrate is probably a factor Warnock noted that night.

There is supposed to be £6 available for transfers. I rate Gallagher and hope we sign him.
Striker and goalscoring number ten must be a priority and ,so far, very little of our parachute payments have been invested in buying players of quality.

i think we did but didnt offer anywhere near the wage norwich was offering

truth is for 3.5m id expect someone who has proven can score goals,3.5m is alot to gamble with
