You make some great points in the OP and regarding your comment (quote) "Terror knows no religion and is indiscriminate." I said similar last week after some pretty lop-sided comments (polite wording) from certain posters on here
The problem you have here is that last week's Manchester terrorist incident was a (thankfully) rare event that occurred 'on our doorstep', so it resonated throughout the decent communities of the UK; yet a lot of the same people who have been so vociferous and posted offensive ill-thought comments generally didn't bat an eye-lid when it happens abroad and some even condone it
There have been other 'foreign' attacks in recent times and loads of sympathy for the people and communities affected but not too much outright condemnation with the vehemence we saw when it (almost inevitably) came closer to home
A terrorist is a terrorist is a terrorist no matter what his/her 'claimed' race, religion or creed and no matter what their 'cause' their sole aim is to kill, maim, destroy and disrupt in pursuit of their perceived ideals and I condemn every single one of them!![]()
