I 'll give him the benefit of the doubt here. He has so many figures to deal with this could have just been one of those blank moments we have all had from time to time. Abbott however showed that she is completely out of her depth, and obviously had no idea when she was questioned about the cost of additional policing. It may have been because she has'nt a clue, Corbyn wanted to get his figures 100% correct before replying. Or am I being too lenient here?

The Tories costed their school breakfasts at 7p per meal. Also, Hammond recently undervalued HS2 by £20bn on the BBC. Finally, nearly the entirety of the Tory manifesto is not costed, so it is complete conjecture. They've had to ride back and back and back on their toxic policies because they are deeply unpopular. May should have won this election by a landslide, the fact that the polls have tightened shows what an awful job she is doing. She knew this election was coming, nobody else did, and she's made an almighty pig's ear of it. I suspect you are one of many accounts on here, designed to clickbait so I don't know why I bother.

Just seen the unedifying sight of Corbyn running away from a reporter who wanted him to make a comment on his crash and burn interview on women's hour, makes me wonder what else this pathetic individual would run away from

Well, you didn't defend your great leader there, did you. That's all the Tories do, slag off Corbyn. No policies of their own, except deeply unpleasant ones. Need care, well, we'll make you sell your house, we're not Corbyn though, remember that. Makes me sick.

It's a laughable attitude isn't it?

Why are you voting Tory?
I hate Jeremy Corbyn.
But what Tory policies do you support?
None, they don't have Corbyn though.
The Tories want to increase your income tax, make you sell your house to fund social care when you're older, take away your kids school meals, continue to bomb foreign countries, destroy the NHS, and reduce the amount of tax multi-billion pound corporations have to pay.
Yeah, but they don't have Corbyn in their ranks so all that is worth it! After all, he sympathised with the IRA.
He insisted talking was the way forward in the peace process of Northern Ireland and commemorated all those lost to conflict in the Troubles. Also, what about May openly selling arms to the Saudis that they've been using to kill women and children? That's not the 1980s... that's now!
Yeah, but Corbyn... and Abbott... and all their terrorism-loving and snowflake fairy land politics!
OK, pal, you vote for the party that will tear your finances and future apart.

Glad to see Corbyn has come out very quickly to give the exact figures to eliminate any doubt or controversy. Not seen May or her cronies bother to do that during this campaign.

Pointless giving the figures after having to actually look them up when you have no idea what they are. Any of us could have done that. In his defence, I am not sure whether he did'nt know the figures, or if he just had one of those blank moments.

What a silly thread- I am not intending voting labour but this type of garbage might eventually make me vote for Corbyn. It was totally unlike Dianne Abbot. He simply forgot the exact figure and sensibly went to check it before responding. The BBC journo then tries to make a name for herself. The BBC then try to flog a dead horse on the main news! I remember when the BBC was reasonably impartial! Sad really. :bluebird: :bluebird:
Anyway 2 interesting signings for City today!

I agree. Far better to give the exact figure than say one that may be misleading. It just shows the honesty of the guy :old:

I'm afraid it would take more than a thread on a football forum to get me to change my mind. Would take more than newspaper reports as well. I try and pick out the hard facts and figures, and listen to what actually comes out of a politician's mouth to help me make a decision. I doubt if anything I have to say would influence anyone else, and the only people who will influence me are the politicians themselves.
