Labour pledges to divert football's TV money to grassroots

Surely even the corbyn haters on here would think more cash to grassroots football is a good thing??

Silence is deafening. This isn't the only policy released that aims to help the majority. The Labour manifesto is packed with them. However, some would prefer to listen to the right wing media propaganda that paints him as a national security threat and terrorist sympathiser.

Funnily enough, I have noticed that the Tory supporters on here have now turned their vitriolic attention towards Diane Abbott now that they realise Corbyn isn't the villain that the right wing press made out. Soon they will realise that even though Abbott has her faults she is nowhere near as bad as the Tory equivalents.

Anyway, this is about this Labour policy and it cannot be argued that this is a great policy. The real shame is the fact that it would take government intervention to be put into place. It should have already been a policy put in place by the FA and Premier League.

Probably because even though most of us on here are football fans, grassroots football is not really high on the agenda of most voters. I guess the majority of the population have more pressing and important things to consider before they worry too much about football.

not sure how much we in Wales ,Scotland ,Northern Ireland would benefit from another FA being told to give 5 per cent of TV money to its grass roots football tbh.
its not UK issue and maybe shouldnt even be in the manifesto for that reason.
