Cameron Jerome

I've read that Warnock will sign players that we will recognise and I have a hunch one of them will be him. ;)

I posted the same about a month ago. Warnock stated that he had tried to sign him numerous times throughout his career after the Norwich game.

Not bad player.

No chance. He couldn't wait to get away when he played for us and never shown us any respect.

Well we couldn't wait to get rid of him with our financial troubles at the time and wether he has shown respect or not doesn't mean that there is not a chance he could come back I never got the impression that he has something against us I know you're going to bring up the Aytollah celebration but that's up for debate wether it was out of respect or not I don't think it makes a difference.

I agree. If the terms are right he'd come.
I don't buy this lack of respect stuff.
Andy Legg came to us and he hated us when he played for the jacks. David Penney, Warren Feeney the list goes on and on - and not just Swansea players either.
For the record, I think that CJ is high on Warnock's list too.

Exactly Just because the player wants to well for the opposite team against us doesn't mean they have anything against which is what some people have the impression towards Jerome.

he got a terrible reception the very first time he returned which i never understood .
and all this couldnt wait to get away stuff. he must have been doing well FOR US to attract an offer. then OUR club accepted the offer.
lets be honest,he must have done well for the fee to be 3mill ,be nice if some of the current squad were desperate enough to leave so that they played well enough to get 3mill offers.

Jerome works hard, puts himself about and has a good scoring record in the championship so it makes perfect sense to me that Warnock would try and get him if he is interested. :bluescarf:

I've never understood the poor reception he gets from our old faithful.

He left to join a team in our division, which didn't help. However, how many ex players have paid their own money and come to watch us away? It clearly used to upset him when we gave him stick too.

Always had mixed feelings over Jerome. I think he could bag 10-15 goals in a Championship season but we'd need to play to his strengths. I was never his biggest fan when he was here. Not in terms of personality but ability. I sat next to his family at Sheffield United away one season. They were a lovely group. So because of that I have generally held a decent opinion of him. However, as others have said, he's said stuff and done stuff on the pitch that hasn't really respected our club. That said, yes, he played for us but he isn't Cardiff born or bred. He came from another youth academy. He was only with us for a small fraction of his career. So I can see why he's just seen us as a past chapter in his life. I'm not offended by that and if he agreed to come back I would be happy to see what he can do. This bull about him wanting to leave doesn't wash with me. Our club basically drove him away due to our financial issues.
