TOM LAWRENCE THANKS IPSWICH

Sky Sports

09/05/17

Tom Lawrence has thanked Ipswich Town following the conclusion of his loan spell at the club.

The 23-year-old Leicester forward scored 11 times in 37 appearances for the Tractor Boys and took to Twitter to say:

Tom Lawrence: "With the season finished now I would like to thank everyone at the @Official_ITFC especially my team mates, staff and the fans for supporting me from when I arrived, some great memories at Portman road this season and wish them all the best in the future."

Yeah but was only on a loan spell.
I think he has bigger fish to fry.

I still think he's overrated. Blows hot and cold too much for me. The same goes for Huws. Ipswich took both of them on this season and if they were as good as some people have claimed then they'd be a lot higher in the table than they are. It's a shame, they clearly have the potential but just aren't consistent enough.

You're right but I think your not giving enough weight to the fact that they are both young and will improve in that department. They will both demand a decent fee in a couple of years.

And if anyone was going to get Lawrence Huw's to perform on a more consistent level, it would be our current manager and coaching team :thumbright: :ayatollah:

Well yeah it was a loan. He's too good for a team that's been mod table championship for the last ten years.

And seemingly not much ambition(or cash)either.

What is his preferred position and where does he play better at? That for me is where his inconsistency lies.

Slades still asking that question. Mick Mccarthy found the answer.

I liked him when he was at Cardiff, seemed to be one of the few players who actually got at opponents, just his consistency that seemed to let him down, but he seems to be getting better at that. And will only improve in the future, also a hard worker who can play winger or in that number 10 role which is what Warnock will be looking for. Would love to see him at city but maybe that season under Slade has put him off returning lol.
