Former Cardiff City target to be released by Norwich City

Former Cardiff City target Kyle Lafferty is to be released by Norwich City in the summer.
The Bluebirds were linked with the Northern Ireland star striker late in the summer transfer window under Paul Trollope.
Sky Sports reported Cardiff were keen to sign the striker but the Canaries lack of options in the front-line meant he would stay put.
Lafferty went on to make just 16 appearances for Norwich this season and his most recent inclusion was against Burton back in February.
The 29-year-old is best known for firing Northern Ireland to Euro 2016 qualification but his club form has seldom replicated his goal-scoring ability on the international stage.
Norwich announced today they will release seven senior players including goalkeeper John Ruddy, Youseff Mulumbu and Sebastien Bassong.
Cardiff City will be looking to bolster their striking options in the summer and Lafferty could prove a good option, especially being available for free.
If he is willing to sign for a sensible contract then the Bluebirds may be tempted to revisit their interest.
However, now under a different manager, whether Neil Warnock holds the same view as Paul Trollope will inevitably be the decisive factor.
