There are going to be tough decisions made by Warnock and we ain't going to like all of them but being Manager doesn't allow for sentiment. If Whitts doesn't feature in his plans so be it. If it is his last season with us then I wish him all the best in the world.

He's probably staying. He's a Marmite player. Whatever happens 50% of the fan base will be happy and 50% will be gutted. I don't think he'll get any better offer anywhere else than he will be offered here. He likes the area so if he doesn't like the reduced offer that's his decision but I think his army of apostles can rest easy. We're stuck with him!

well i am a Whitts apostle but first and foremost a Cardiff fan and see no mileage in signing him if he isnt in the managers plans. going on the last dozen or so games i dont think he is.

Now in all fairness that's the first grown up post I've read from a Whittingham groupie. Well done. However, I'm 99% certain he'll be with us next season and therefore we'll all continue to have some vigorous discussions on this interesting topic.

my take on this has always been either your going to use him and offer him a real contract. or be straight and tell him he doesnt feature in plans.
all this lets offer him 25% of what emyr huws earns . i think is insulting.

He may not have an offer on the table at the moment but, as Welsh Patriot saud, there was a contract offered to Witts that he did not sign and it then got withdrawn.

I don't know if you're right Wayne because I don't know the exact circumstances, however in a Q&A in Caerphilly last month at that time Warnock said he had made Whittingham an offer which he had not yet accepted but that due to financial constraints Warnock had to withdraw the offer so that he could reconsider it at the end of the season.
To be honest all this primadonna stuff of some players thinking they are better and worth more than their team mates gets right up my nose. They should be grateful they're not shoveling mud with a teaspoon for a bare living.

I think it'll all sort itself out one way or another soon enough and whatever is decided just needs to be what's best for the club
