' SIMON MOORE '

Ex Cardiff City Goalkeeper Simon Moore virtually given away by Cardiff City, now in the PFA team of the year.

Goalkeeper Simon Moore on their "special season" and being in the @PFA team of the year.

Simon Moore: "Its the best move I ever made"

On the 19th August Cardiff City sold goalie Simon Moore to Sheffield United for £500,000 and brought in a Ben Amos on £16,000 a week, what type of business/management was that?

Simon Moore was a good goalie and should of been given a chance, he was on low wages approx £5,000 a week.

We signed Ben Amos who had the worst record in the Championship and Bolton fans could not believe their luck.

Moore WAS given a chance, and he failed. He's done well elsewhere though, so good for him.

How much did we get for Tom Heaton when he went to Burnley?

Agree !! Has everyone forgotten how bad he was ? Mistake after mistake costing serious numbers of points.

We've made plenty of cock ups in the transfer markets but getting rid of this numpty was not one of them.

For the first time in his career since we signed him from Brentford, Moore has got regular football and has shown what he can do. There is a reason why David James previously tipped him to be a future England number 1. He never got a proper opportunity here. Marshall made countless mistakes and kept his place. Moore made 1 mistake and got instantly dropped. Even when Moore played well, Marshall always got recalled. That messes with your mindset. I'm pleased he's settled at a club giving him regular games and he will keep improving. I will look forward to seeing how good a keeper Moore develops into in the future.

It happens often with keepers, most managers have a number one and the other only gets game time in a cup or if they move.

I've seen our fans have a go at Heaton while playing for us and then later cheer Tom Heaton while playing for Bristol City and boo Marshall playing for us.

I don't think letting Moore go was a mistake as at the time we had Marshall however letting them both go at the same time left Trollope in an awkward position and the panic signing of Amos.

This was a stupid deal however you look at it. We sold both our keepers last minute and we had nowhere else to go but to loan Amos ffs.
