' Bruno Manga to '

Mon Apr 17, 2017 9:54 am

Bournemouth - being linked with joining up with Eddie Howe in the Daily Mirror

On a free transfer so no fee involved therefore no risk to Bournemouth on the signing of true.

Can't see him staying at city if we offering reduced wages

You're right, he's gone and who can blame him?

Problem is money is now the most important thing in football. Difficult to succeed without it, and hard to compete against those who have plenty. I don't see us heading in the other direction, even with Warnock here. While money does not guarantee success, it certainly helps, and unfortunately we have'nt got any.

Maintains 20k wages, probably a million in signing on fees.
Another shambles by our club, not selling or moving on a 12 month ago

Jules what planet are you on mate?

Bournemouth are 7 points clear of the drop and can obviously offer Bruno a lot more than we can.

A sizeable signing on fee and premier league football or a pay cut and championship football, what you do? (and answer objectively because Bruno isn't cardiff born 'n bred like us)

It's easy for us to judge but it would be a different story if we we're in their shoes with a big juicy carrot waving in our faces.

And it's a bit closer to France ;)

Would be a good move for him. The trick now is to get a good replacement and NW is the man to do that

He is a good player but never worth the millions we gave for him. Bournmouth might be safe this season they could go down next season their defence is terrible so Jules maybe as you say not on another planet she might be right

Can you blame him for moving on? We would do the same in our job situation. He has less than 10 yrs left as a pro. He has been outstanding for us, superb today and has always been a great servant, albeit on big wages. Yes, I want him to stay but he is out of our wage reach now. He goes with my best wishes.

I dont know about that mate, we have wasted some money over the years but the £3 million that Manga apparantly cost was a good signing IMO and he was worth every penny, unfortunately he joined us at a time that we started going backwards rapidly, Im surprised hes never asked to leave to be honest.

Out of interest. How is Bournemouth going in the wrong direction?

Our best player today. A class act and a real shame we can't keep him. If we were a genuinely ambitious club.....

its how football works, always has and always will.
he did leave a club to come to us in the first place. dont think it was for the climate.
and who knows where Bournemouth might finish next season,or in fact how we will do.

If City have any ambition they should move heaven and earth to keep Manga. What a loss if he goes. If it is going to cost a million to replace him with a lesser player then why not pay the wages to keep him. With him and Bamba at the back I would feel very confident of a promotion push next season.
