And then it all went so wrong for Malky - one of my biggest disappointments following city was watching what happened with him (and us of course) :cry:

Fans manager !!!! And it was always going to be hard for any manager in the premiership great memories club gone down hill unfortunsteky with rebrand and lack of ambition and lies at the helm!!!

He was a great motivator, and would have kept us up that season.

Entertainment value in the premier wasn't the best from an attacking point of view

So true! Respect to his Championship achievements but how on earth he expected to survive the Premiership relying upon Championship calibre players (at best) I'll never know.

Correct and he would have cleared out the deadwood and recruited Premier class players in readiness for the step up in class even though they might have been bargain basement buys.

We were surviving the Premiership until Tan sacked him!!

strange we were playing in red and had full attendances that season and of course in the premiership we did too . I want to go in the prem in blue and with warnock

you can argue that both ways all day 1 point off the bottom 3 when he left and on points per game heading for 35/36 points .
what you cant argue about is he has done zero since. and although he had a mare at Wigan that shouldnt really be enough to prevent him getting other jobs if he was as good as some think. it hasnt stopped other managers.
