Cardiff were drinking in a pub near Sheffield and 50 BRUM came in and all hell broke loose. Chairs, tables and windows smashed.

Riot police came, arm response and CCTV mobile came.

Pub was near a pub called The Apollo by Chesterfield

So far five arrested.


After the trouble Old Bill seize Cardiff drink off coach.

Just spoke to City fans that were there,it was our youngsters and Birmingham youngsters having a right old battle,with furniture and bottles

No Cardiff arrested.

Yep just outside Chesterfield. I'm not there today but have been too them 2 pubs on loads of trips.

The Apollo is boarded up and has been closed for a while.

Just seen this, that bus is usually a good spilt of youth and older lads. Unfortunately the old heads didn't go and those kids had no chance.

Did they pick it? I wonder if brum knew it was kids or just got lucky when they came through the doors. That's the bus I go on and it's got the youth lads but usually good mix. They did indeed come off second best apart from some who vacated the back door.

From what am told all in same pub drinking and friendly banter, got out of hand when one of the city kids over stepped the line and that was that really.

It went from friendly chanting to god save the queen and our national anthem to a clueless 16 year old Cardiff fan offering out a fully grown brummie lad who was shouting "dirty Welsh cun*s" which was never going down well. They started by chucking a glass then the men (brum lads) steamed into kids with chairs and glasses
