A forum for all things Cardiff City

There was a debate the other day after Palarse had beaten Arsenal saying that was one hell of an atmosphere generated by the home fans, the debate concluded by saying Stoke Sheff Wed Sheff utd Pompey etc all had similar noise levels/stadiums,we used to have such a place like them but sadly were persuaded that future revenue dictated we move with the times, even cronky ol Ninian Park held more than the JBs leisure centre so it couldn't have been a case of fitting more in.
My answer to another thread about stay away fans would be soulless bowls where you often get outsung by visiting fans

I've never found the Sheffield clubs that good for atmosphere. Bramell lane however can get quite naughty outside. I've always found WBA a good atmosphere because their singers are right next to away fans with hardly any segregation.

ive had a lot of fans of other clubs comment very positively about our ground. good view, facilities, big concourse, etc etc.
its a really nice stadium. but not a good home ground.
Ninian Park really felt like we were HOME, it was our home. the CCS is just another extension to these out of town shopping parks, same everywhere a bookies a gregs ,a mcdonalds,a supermarket,a next and a concrete football ground.
i just hope that our younger fans grow up feeling about this ground as i felt for NP i never will.

I know flatpack stadia are soulless when not at least 75% full, but these are 4 of the best at our place and difficult to beat for atmosphere...
City v Leicester Championship play-offs,
City v Palace, League Cup semi,
City v Man City Premier League and
Wales v Belgium Euros qualifiers at our place
We just need to be playing those sort of games often. I'm in for for 48 years so have fond memories of Nina Park, but maybe the generation that only know the CCS will have enjoyed the experience and these games.
Looking forward to the Toon game, though would have been good if there was more on it for us too.

Yeah those games were unbelievable. Just goes to show we can do it but look at the stakes in those games. Untill we're going on cup runs a fb pushing for promotion we won't come close. I forgot how shit mid table was, I feel bad for fans like Ipswich who've had it year upon year.
