Neil Warnock doesn't think Reading FC will win play-offs
Neil Warnock has waded in to the play-off debate and dismissed Reading FC 's promotion chances.
The Cardiff City boss is far from popular with Royals supporters and is never shy of having a dig at the club .
The 68-year-old believes whoever finishes sixth in the Championship will win the play-offs - but not if it's Jaap Stam 's side as he doesn't think they could win over two legs.
In an interview with The Yorkshire Post , Warnock said: "I do believe whoever finishes sixth out of Sheffield Wednesday or Fulham will be the team that goes up in the play-offs.
"To finish sixth, either Wednesday or Fulham will have had to finish the season in good form.
"They can then take that into the play-offs. Momentum can be huge once they get under way.
"I also look at the others and they are not convincing at the moment.
"Garry Monk [Leeds' head coach] and David Wagner [Huddersfield manager] have done fantastic jobs but results have been a bit up and down lately.
"And I just don’t fancy Reading to beat anyone over two legs.
"That, to me, leaves whoever finishes sixth. We played Sheffield Wednesday very early after I joined Cardiff and they are a good footballing team."
