Why did Cardiff City sign Jo Inge Berget? ? ?

It was difficult enough for Cardiff fans to remember Berget given that he only made two appearances for the Bluebirds, never mind the drastic changes to his physical appearance.
But the Norwegian attacker will certainly go down as one of the most obscure signings made by the club in recent times.
Having previously played under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in his native Norway with Molde, it was hardly far-fetched to see why Berget made the move to south Wales to reunite himself with the Manchester United legend.
But the results in the two matches in which he played - a 2-1 FA Cup loss to Wigan and a 4-0 Premier League defeat at home to Hull - perfectly summed up the Norwegian's impact at the club and served as proof that simply knowing someone from a former club doesn't guarantee success.
A man who arrived to fire in the goals to help keep Cardiff in the Premier League ultimately proved to be one of the biggest flops in the club's recent history.
