This is what the latest from Germany says:
Quote: "German police are investigating a possible Islamic extremist link to the bombing of the Borussia Dortmund football team's bus, German media say.
A letter found near the scene cites the Berlin Christmas market attack and military operations in Syria.
It is not yet clear if the letter is genuine."
Obviously German intelligence forces have missed a trick by not consulting with their AAMB counterparts first. They could have saved themselves a lot of time and resources!![]()

From the BBC
There are two competing claims from groups saying they carried out the attack, but there is no official comment from the police yet.
Despite the apparent claim of an Islamist motive, the attack does not have much in common with previous such attacks, says the BBC's correspondent in Berlin, Damien McGuinness.
The explosives were not designed to cause maximum damage in a crowd - or to target the stadium itself, which is several kilometres away.
Our correspondent says it could be an attack by right-wing extremists. Borussia Dortmund has been plagued recently with violent hooliganism.
A recent clampdown led to stadium bans, which then resulted to death threats in February for one manager, he says.

Typical of the BBC to try and blame the far right

If we are talking about speculating then there has also been misinformation that the bomb blast was caused by a 'tyre blow out' or 'flares/pyros' thrown by fans in this very thread. Both are totally wrong and considering recent events (including the killing of PC Keith Palmer and the Stockholm killings) I don't think it is unreasonable to think that Islamic terrorists are at it again.

Tony, things were very confused last night and there was lots of speculation, which is why it's always best to hold back from assumption. Latest is that an arrest (or arrests) has been made and that person has Syrian links
Time will tell but I'll wait for the facts rather than be mis-informed by some on here
