Hulls home form will send the jacks down

Mon Apr 10, 2017 8:56 pm

It's swayed Back and forth all season, the mini revival under clement looked to have saved them and while a lot still to play for I think hulls form at home under their new boss will send our little brothers down.

It's hulls home form and the resurgent palace which has stopped the sea swans from pulling away, now they are struggling they could be in deep trouble. Hull have 3 home games in Sunderland Watford and spurs last game who will be playing for nothing.

Opinions?

The Jacks have just not handled the business end of the season at all.

Once Clemence had passed the honeymoon period I expected the Jacks to carry on the momentum and see it through. Well something has gone wrong on the same scale as Bradley. I thought they had a couple of wins in them going into these last 6 games but not so sure now.

Ian, I'm with you 100% on this

I expected Clemence to make the difference after Sideshow Bob Bradley's tenure ended but it seems that after the usual initial 'pick up' Swansea have gone back to their old habits of relying hugely on Llorente and Sigurdsson to dig them out

Some good players still at Swansea but they're not gelling as they might and it's affecting them psychologically. Hull, on the other hand, appear to have employed an absolute gem in Marco Silva

The Palace result tonight versus The Arsenal was huge and it's now difficult to see past Swansea and Hull to take the last place on the Premier League gallows

Current form tells us Swansea, once a well managed club to be envied, will genuinely struggle to stay up. But, they have been a 'lucky' club in recent years and that may be just enough to help them out!

It will certainly be interesting over the last few games and the streets of Swansea will be strewn with chewed up finger nails as they contemplate the worst scenarios...relegation and a trip to the CCS! ;) :laughing6: :laughing6:

Swansea, if Hull stay up we get more money for Marshall don't we?

There's no way that us as a club have good things like more money and Swansea going down at the same time.

The next two games, will be the deciding factor I think.
Hull away to Stoke and the Jack's away to Watford .
Then its Hull home to Watford and the Jack's home to Stoke.
Big games with Watford and Stoke having nothing to play for ?
I can see Hull and the Jacks taking 4 points each from these games.
But knowing our luck(Marshall extra payment) the Jacks will probably take 6 points and Hull nothing :(

I would expect both teams to pick up roughly the same number of points in their last few games...unfortunately for the Jacks that probably won't be enough :occasion5:

I fancy Hull stay up. Better team out of the 2, they put 4 past Boro where jacks couldn't manage 1.

Looking at the table,
Watford 37 and Stoke 36 points. So they have something to play for.
They don't want to be dragged into a relegation scrap.
Well its not going to be boring over the next few weeks ;)

I think even the most optimistic Jack would have to say the best they could hope for from the last 6 games is 10 point's which would leave them on 38, I think they could get that but its a big ask, you look at Hulls fixtures and you would think they could pick up a minimum of 8 points aswell to leave them on the same figure.

The fact that Hull have the 2 point gap has to put them in thee 'Fav' position but tbh we went through all this in our season and to be honest it is utterly unpredictable at this stage of the season, one thing that looks certain is that it looks to be a straight shootout between them as Boro's fixtures are horrendous. The GD is neck and neck aswell which adds to the excitement.

Agreed, looking at the form table, I see Swansea losing out to Hull.

Will go down to the wire all the same though.

Do you all realise Marco Silva hasn't lost a home game for 3 years? He will keep Hull up, then go onto a much bigger club. He would be perfect for Arsenal.

have to point out that he was manager of Olypiakos who are expected to win the league every year { 6 concecutive Greek titles } who recently sacked their manager despite being 7 points clear in table.

He also won 17 games in a row with Olympiakos, which was a new European record. The job Silva did at Estoril was phenomenal and he's succeeded everywhere he's been since. I will be surprised if Hull manage to keep hold of him for long.

Ross, I agree!

This is a stepping stone for Marco Silva and his stock will rise rapidly in the Premier League. Hull will be over the moon if he keeps them up and also the compensation they would get for him moving on to bigger things

This may sound odd but Arsenal could well be worth a shout when it comes to suitors, if Wenger decides to call it a day! :ayatollah:

Whoever recruited him for Hull seems to have pulled off a masterstroke, I have to be honest I had never hered of him
