" HUGE MATCH AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PREMIER LEAGUE TONIGHT "

Mon Apr 10, 2017 7:02 pm

Crystal Palace v Arsenal just kicked off.

Sam Allardyce's side have won four of their last five games, including a 2-1 win at league leaders Chelsea. A home win would take them six points clear of the bottom three with a game in hand, and the teams around them would only have six games left.

Arsene Wenger is under huge pressure and they need a win if they are to keep in touch with 4th placed Manchester City. But they will equal a club record of four consecutive away defeats in the Premier League if they lose. They have won just two out of their last seven league games. A win would take them above Manchester United into 5th place, four points off Manchester City in fourth - who would have a game in hand.

Huge result for Palace

Can anyone see anyone other than Swansea and Hull fighting for the last relegation spot?

Not really...and the momentum is with a Hull side who are massively improved under THEIR new manager! ;)

Seems the issue down the M4 West wasn't all down to Sideshow Bob! :ayatollah:

Say what you want about Allardyce, but there's nobody better if you want to escape relegation.

Neil Warnock, and he's cheaper.

I like Neil Warnock at Cardiff City but we're talking Championship versus Premier League here, Chris :ayatollah:

And amongst the last-chance saloonery on Planet Swans, one of the beauts has started a thread on the delights of tinned tomatoes. And they prefer Daddies Sauce. No surprises there.
