Cardiff City manager Neil Warnock has decided there will be no more rotating the Cardiff City squad for Cardiff's remaining five games.

Warnock has now made his mind up, and will wait for pre-season friendlies to experiment before the 2017-18 season starts.

Warnock was asked whether Cardiff City's 2-1 win over Brentford had altered his plans for the future, Warnock was stated.

"Not really, no. My mind is pretty made up really," he said, before adding a caveat.

But Warnock still wants to hand young academy product Mark Harris his first league start before this season starts :thumbright:

NEIL WARNOCK:

"We've got five games and I would like to get young (Mark) Harris a game before the end of the season. I don't know how I'm going to do it but I will try."

"It's just when you look at the fixtures, they whet the appetite. Sheffield Wednesday away next week — I'm sure they're looking forward to me turning up there!

"And the others have all got something at stake.

"So it's difficult for a young lad but I would like to see him start a game and have an hour."
Neil Warnock stated that the remainder of this season would have little bearing on next term and cannot wait for next season to start.

Neil Warnock: "That's all you can do — and when we come back next season, everything's different and hopefully we'll have four or five players in the squad and you start looking and try and learn in the few weeks you've got then to build up to that first game."

"But at least we've put a structure in place."

"We can change tactics to suit certain games: we can go to three at the back at times, or play 4-3-3 or 4-4-2."

"That's where Brighton are very good, they're quite flexible and I think you've got to be like that."

I'm keeping my fingers (and toes) crossed Tony that he sticks by his guns and doesn't get swayed by sentiment, though fortunately he doesn't seem that type

As he says, all of our next 5 opponents have something to play for at top or bottom of the table. I suppose it's possible that by the time we get to Wigan they will already be relegated so perhaps young Harris can get a game then. The Huddersfield game may also be a dead game by then. Even Newcastle could be promoted by the time we play them, although they will still have the title to play for.
