' Craig Noone? ? '

Mon Apr 10, 2017 10:14 am

Personally I believe Craig Noone should move on now, he is a player we can't afford to carry anymore.

Craig Noone has one year left on his contract and is one of our most costliest players regarding wages, approx £20,000 plus a week

Craig Noone might have to leave Cardiff City to recapture the zip and confidence that has deserted him and seems to come and go like that the weather.

Neil Warnock was getting the best out of Craig Noone but he has drifted again

Will Craig Noone ever recapture the form shown in his brilliant early Cardiff performances?

How long do you wait for a player to come good again?

Remember Warnock is on a small/tight budget.

Since Warnock took charge, Noone’s form has continued to fluctuate. Drifting in and out of favour, Noone knuckled down and broke into the side late last year and starred in an impressive away victory at Leeds, which at the time was only his second start in three months.

As brutally honest as we have come to expect, Warnock explained Noone’s lack of playing time by revealing:

NEIL WARNOCK:
“Nooney had been poor for three weeks and he knows that.”

Warnock added: “But he'd been exciting again this week in training. On Thursday I said to him: 'Welcome back.’ It's the best I've seen him and I had no hesitation playing him because he's flying.”

Soon after, Warnock was back on Noone’s case, declaring that he was at fault for Blackburn’s late equaliser in a disappointing 1-1 home draw. Warnock is clearly frustrated by Cardiff’s lack of consistency and no player appears to epitomise that defect more than Noone.

Craig Noone almost ended up at Burton Albion as the January transfer window winded down and only due to injuries and Warnock failing to get anymore players in did Noone not leave.

Noone may have escaped that fate, but who knows what his immediate future holds.

He is one of many Cardiff players with only one year left on his existing deal and the club will soon be forced to offer him extended terms or put him up for sale.

It remains to be seen which way Warnock will sway, but he is one of few players that he may be tempted to cash in on to generate extra funds.

My Personal opinion Craig Noone is a player we can't afford to carry anymore.

To inconsistent and really only as one way to play! Easily contained by decent fullback time to go .

I agree has to be moved on, although I doubt anyone will give us a fee and take his £20k wages. Might have to loan him out and contribute something towards his salary.

Ive always liked Noone and thought he was going to be one of the ones to improve under NW but it hasn't really happened.

Time for him to move on, and I bet he will do well with a fresh start.

I don't think he is fast and direct enough for Warnock. He has more goals in him than Harris and Holliet put together though.

I'd let all three wingers go....But, if we keep them, we really do need a goal scoring 10 !!!! And, they are as rare as rocking horse cack, because we'd all love one of those. On paper (to me anyway) Pilkington should be ideal for that role, but like Immers something is not right when he plays there.

Can't justify 20k per week when he plays as inconsistently as he does.

That's how I see it.

As said above, I respect noone as a player and a person but offers very little. Time to go. I'd rather see him clear the way for our next wide whippet.

Whitts has our top number of assists and scores more goals than Noone.

I'd much rather keep Whitts on a reduced wage than Noone on any wage !!!!!
