Luke, Grimsby take away 800- 1,500 to all their away games, long distances they take 700/800 fans in the lowest division :thumb right:
Luke, its not just because its Blackpool,Grimsby fans follow their club away no matter what.
Grimsby also had nothing to play for, for me its great away support.
Pompey 3rd year running in Div 2(Div 4) average about 1,800 fans away.

Luke in March this year an example / most clubs nowadays take good away support / distance no problem
1,100 Grimsby Town fans away at Leyton Orient lowest division, 7hr round trip. (March 2017)

Marcus Bignot apologises to the ' 820 Grimsby fans ' that travelled away to Crewe and saw their side lose 5-0!
300 mile round trip in division 2.

Great support, dont agree that nothing to play for tho, they still have an outside chance of nicking a play off place, will be a big ask mind

14th in Div 4, yes theirs a very slight slight chance.
I will rem that? ? ?
I just wish some of our fans would give the genuine praise that little clubs like Grimsby deserve, with brilliant away support.

Great support I agree and a club who only gets 5,000 at home.

About 4800 is the home crowd for us at grimsby, average away attendance stands at 1000 approx which is just behind luton and pompey, while grimsby have the highest number of home fans which travel away at over 20%....our highest away following of the season was over 4000 to donny(granted only an hour away)....expect it to stay around the same for next season as we really do like our away days, will probably start dwindling a bit if not doing well but if near the top would expect numbers of 2000 upwards to be travelling where capacity allows.
PS play off chances really went a few weeks ago

Absolutely brilliant support and I agree your play-off chances really went a few weeks ago.
To average 1,000 away fans, when you only average 4,800 at home, puts a lot of clubs to shame.
Yes you have games with in an hour plus away, but you also have places like Newport,Plymouth,Exeter,Orient,Wimbledon etc long distances.
Reminds me of how we once were

Strange one really because gtfc said we had sold 1500 tickets by the friday and loads went without tickets to pay on the day,so either gtfc were bulling a bit or blackpool did not add the pay on the day to the figures, either way decent following and many sore heads after friday and saturdat night in blackpool.
Remember many games with cardiff over the years especially from our days in the championship, alas i don't think them heady heights will be repeated so unlikely to be locking horns again.
Good luck to your club

Excellent away support
Yes I have been to you with Cardiff on a couple of occasions, but the biggest occasion was about 1983/84 Grimsby v Chelsea, it was mental.
All the best
