' Jazz the jack '

Sat Apr 08, 2017 8:05 pm

What's your feelings now? He was our best player when Trollope was sacked, he's had some flack but the kids made of sterner stuff than many gave him credit. Not an easy situation for him, he's knuckled down under Warnock and is now one of our most consistent players. Not only can he defend he offers going forward, has pace and actually wants it.

He's won me over. Whts your thoughts?

Been excellent lately, and is consistent.

I think he is great.

He has well and truly won me over. Consistently very good and has an exceptional work rate. Got way too much stick for not doing the ayatollah in my opinion but seemed to have a stinking attitude anyway. So glad he has proved us wrong

Prefer him to Peltier if I'm honest.

He was rubbish when he played under Trollope and was horrendous, improving slightly now.

all the stick for refusing the ayatollah was fair, your either a bluebird or your not. But that's in the past now and he's doing well so happy days, hopefully ly in time he'll be converted!

Agree with that Jack

I always thought he was our best bet at right back because he offers so much more going forward than Lee Peltier or Matt Connelly and can defend just as well as those two. I received some opposing views when I posted that earlier in the season so it is nice to have 'a I told you so' moment ;)

As far as I'm aware he still doesn't do the ayatollah but his performances on the pitch do represent a fully committed player.

No longer a Jack - now a Bluebird :bluebird: :bluebird: :bluebird:

People still claiming he didn't do the ayatollah - when he did.

In the first half at St Andrews in the first game of the season. That was before the Wales Online clip that was supposed to show he did it again on request in the second half. This looks like one of those myths that will not go away - fed mainly by people who were not at the match, but backed up by some who were, but were looking at the home stands more than the pitch!

Anyway, Jazz is now proving his quality and putting in consistently good performances.

He also said on ITC he would like to see Swansea relegated so he could face them in a derby next season. If that doesn't stop the deluded snipers nothing will.

We're looking stronger at full back than we have since I can remember: Jazz and peltier both solid, bennet more of an attacking option but a good footballer and Connoly is a reliable back up.

The whole back four will need to up their game if we are to challenge for promotion next season - still leaking too many goals and not enough clean sheets.

Our best right back. He has improved so much under Warnock. Leggy, Robbie James , Nigel Stevenson.....let's face it , we've some great ex-Swansea defenders.

You would think so.As far as I can go back ex Swansea players have always had to prove themselves but they didn't have to contend with our intrepid internet warriors like Jazz has had to.

Robbie James was a midfield player surely?

Robbie James (RIP) was a right back.

I thought Richards was at fault for the late equaliser we conceded at Blackburn, but since then he's hardly put a foot wrong. He was faultless at home to Birmingham. I still feel he can be a vulnerable target in the air. There are times where he would rather not head the ball when he should, so the ball goes over his head and then he's running back towards his own goal under pressure, but Richards is a footballing full back who wants to play everything on the deck.

He's very solid defensively, we rarely see him being beaten in a one on one situation, he has a great engine and the pace to get up and down the flank. He is very composed, a classy footballer who never gives possession away cheaply and he has a good end product too. I think there is definitely more to come from him and he's a huge upgrade on Malone.

Without a doubt, but I believe their more than capable!

He is doing very well I must say but that's only a handful of games or 10, Peltier is still a level above him and he will have a lot to live up to Kev.

I agree that we are leaking too many goals but I'm not sure the problem is with the full backs. Morrison is too weak when defending set pieces and is easily beaten on the ground by a fast direct runner.

I'm hoping next year we go with Magna/Bamba if some way is found to keep Bruno at the club.
