Kadeem Harris and Peter Whittingham leaving would be a tragedy? ?

By Dominic Booth

Neil Warnock has regularly asked the rhetorical question: "Why would Kadeem Harris want to leave?"

Yet all the noises coming from Harris' camp have left his future unclear. Sure, after such a breakthrough season the 23-year-old won't be short of summer suitors.

And against Brentford, he again showed what he's capable of; you shudder to think where Cardiff might be had they not unearthed his talents earlier in the season.

So to allow an 'x-factor' player to depart would be such a shame. He may be inconsistent, he may make wrong decisions at times, but Cardiff require a speed merchant of Harris' ilk if they want to score hatfuls of goals next season.

Harris' link up play with the majestic Whittingham showed what could be achieved if both stay at the club next season.

The winger's pace coupled with Whittingham's outstanding vision was a real joy to behold in the second half against Brentford.

We know what the Bluebirds fans would want to see... but it remains to be seen whether either or both will remain at the club some September.

Exactly that, can make wrong decisions and still learning. For me, he played for himself today but has great pace and when zohore runs past him or vice Versa it stretches teams that we couldn't do before. I wouldn't however be held to ransom.

Agree. I'd like Harris to stay but not at silly wages.

Whitts is tougher, if imagine he will get more games and money elsewhere now and I don't think the way we play we should be breaking the bank to keep him.

I'd offer both sensible contracts but would be prepared to let both go if they wanted silly money to stay. They both might of played well today but in context it was against another mid table team with nothing to play for.

Agree with you.

I think Harris fits into how Warnock wants to play where as I don't think Whitts does.

The lack of goals or assists deters clubs from offering Harris big bucks, he can leave. I believe he may be a half season wonder.

Whitts scores and creates assists for fun, but doesn't fit into the Warnock philosophy. He may as well get on the Brentford team bus because he'd walk into that team and really make them tick.

Great idea if they give us Ryan Woods instead  let's get it on.

I have faith in Neil Warrnocks judgment, and I have no doubt that NW, with all his managerial experience, will offer, and make the right decisions regarding the two players.

My head says he doesn't really want Whitts here and is just playing the game.

Harris's agent is his father and no good ever comes of that eg: the ince duo. They want ridiculous money. Harris may be fast but his final ball is useless. if he does not accept a sensible wage, which his father is never going to do, Warnock will bomb him out and get another winger in who is just as fast and have a better end product, he has been with us five years and he should have improved a lot more than he has. As for Whitts he still has a lot to offer, and I think he will accept a lower wage.
