On Agents fees this season ..... considering we hardly paid for anybody, I'm at a loss how we spent so much.

I guess if there is no transfer there is still some cost

The stats cover both the January transfer window just gone, as well as the summer window.

In that time, the Bluebirds have brought in Kenneth Zohore, Emyr Huws, Jazz Richards, Frederic Gounongbe, Rickie Lambert, Joe Bennett, Brian Murphy, Sol Bamba, Junior Hoilett, Ibrahim Meite and Greg Halford on permanent deals.

Junior Hoilett and Sol Bamba have proven hugely astute free transfers for Cardiff City

I think this is another reason why the government should sort out football and the FA in this country. If the players want agents then good luck to them but let them pay the vultures out of their own pockets!

Agree, and how many agents are U.K tax exempt , probably a fair few

The HMRC are probably more than happy though, due to the level of statutory deductions clubs have to pay to them.

Exactly like you would an artist or musician booking agent. Agents are just leeches in football.

There is probably a role for agents in football but do they really do work which is worth £220m? I very much doubt it and just think what that money could do for grassroots football.

believe it or not we have signed 16 players this season. lambert,huws,richards,bennet,gongbong,zohre,murphy,immers,chamack,richardson,hoilett,bamba,halford,mcrgegor,amos ,meite another 3 had contracts extended..but 2 mill still sounds a hell of a lot.

Please give me some evidence that Malky has done wrong? The point I'm making is agent fees are part of the game. Tan didn't appear to understand this when Malky was manager because he's clueless about football, so Tan wasted a fair chunk of money trying to dig up evidence to nail Malky. Tan has been unsuccessful and I will be shocked if after all this time, anything ever comes out.

he was dismissed from his position while holding a contract. but wasnt unfairly dismissed ? which of course only leaves fairly dismissed.
btw the thread isnt about Malky.

I know Warnock isn't a huge fan of agents, don't think he has ever had one.

We have had some dodgy deals from the last few managers but I have faith in Warnock and fully expect this to drop under his leadership.

the bit i strugle with is why the agents are not paid by players.
