Sunderland hero Bradley Lowery could get life saving treatment. Amazing news!

Monday 3rd April 2017

Sunderland hero Bradley Lowery, who has neuroblastoma, could be in line to get life saving treatment, after being picked to be part of a special cell trial.

The five-year-old, from Blackhall Colliery in County Durham, has become a huge hit with the British public thanks to his immense bravery and incredible smile.

The five-year-old, from Blackhall Colliery in County Durham, has become a huge hit with the British public thanks to his immense bravery and incredible smile.

And in a message, presumably from his mother, Gemma, she details how Bradley has been accepted on a trial while stating that he's set to undergo further scans;

"Bradley has had a tough week with treatment and is still not to grand. He is out of hospital now and spending some time with his grandparents."

"Myself and his dad are travelling down to London today to meet with a professor at Great Ormond Street hospital. Bradley has been accepted on a trial down there and we need to discuss it and sign consent."

"This trial is been funded by Cancer Research UK. It is called CAR T cell trial. It is only phase one which means it is still in the very early stages but it has shown promise in other types of cancer."

"Bradley has scans next week to see if his current treatment is working, therefore we can not decide what's next until we get the scan results. We are hoping and praying for good news please keep him in your prayers."

Meanwhile, red-hot Sunderland striker Jermain Defoe received his first England call-up since 2013 during international week, and he's struck an adorable friendship with Bradley.

Defore carried him out for their Premier League clash against Everton last month. And the pair were reunited on the international scene, leading the team out at Wembley Stadium.

Wouldn't it be fantastic if Bradlemade a full recovery. City should invite him to the ground next season, as a special guest,as there's a good chance we will be playing Sunderland. If there was a fund to cover his family's' expenses, I'd chip in towards it.
