My opinion it would take years.
Brendan Rodgers: "I have absolutely no doubt about it, Celtic would be a Top 6 Premier League side."

Without doubt but agree it would take years, don't believe the present squad would be good enough for anything but a relegation battle but with extra revenue that would attract better players and that home crowd behind them yes l think they could achieve top six

On another topic l see Rodgers is naturally delighted in winning the league title, but can't remember many managers who have gone on to bigger and better jobs after success at Celtic

Look at Neil Lennon, he was a massive success at Celtic and their fans loved him but the best he could do after was Bolton.

The Scottish Premier League is basically a pub league and with a Rangers still rebuilding, Celtic should have won the league with plenty in hand.
Saying that this current Celtic team is potentially one of the best it has had in years, however I believe they would struggle badly in the English Premier League.
The main difference is that every single game is difficult in our Premier League whereas Celtic probably have 4/5 hard games a year and anyone can look good against the poorer Scottish teams.

Rodgers had sex with a transvestite therefore his judgment is suspect on all topics and he should be ignored.

Hi Annis
IF you read his full statement what he actually says with there stadium, history and fan base worldwide they should be a top six prem side. How would they do if they entered the league tomorrow no one knows, but if they were to be judged on there two games with man city this season i think they would do ok

I could win the Scottish premier league as manager of Celtic every single season. It's no different than Chelsea having to play all there games in league one they would win it every season. Joke of a league.

i think if you look where players go to when they leave the 6 times champions .
and where the managers end up .
your glasses might lose some of the rose tint.

Quite frankly the Scottish League is a joke. That said the Premiership in England is sliding vis a vis european standards . Just look at Tottenham who were humiliated in the ECL and then knocked out of the Europa League by Ghent !! As per usual we here shite like "the best league in the world " blah blah, well is not. As for the SPL well unless Rangers get their act together it is going to get worse. Most of the SPL would struggle in League 2 in England.

The Scottish Game has hated itself to death, the bloodlust to punish Rangers, before the tax case was even decided, means they have shot themselves in the foot. Until Rangers get rid of Mike Ashley they are not going to challenge a mediocre Celtic side, the rest, as you say, would struggle in English League 2. While the EPL is not the best league in the World it's certainly the best packaged and marketed.

they wouldnt finish top six in the championship let alone the prem, they buy players from league one and the championship and walk their league what makes their fans think they can compete in the prem i dont know. half their players dont know what its like to be on a losing run up there, players react so much differently when they have lost the last four or five, celtic are a league one team with a big stadium, yes given yrs and i mean yrs they may get to the prem but at the min the team isnt evena top of the championship team
