A No From Cardiff For Ex Liverpool Strikers Son

Cardiff boss Neil Warnock has confirmed Tom Rosenthal, the son of former Liverpool and Tottenham striker Ronny, isn't going to be offered a deal with the Bluebirds following a trial.

When referring to (Tom) Rosenthal he's been put down as 'the son of former Liverpool striker Ronny Rosenthal' - perhaps an example of the term 'legend' being used all too easily these days? He was a decent footballer but will always be recalled for this hilarious howler.

Anyway, the 20 year old former Watford youth player was looked at during a Cardiff development game with Sheffield United on Thursday but he hasn't done enough to convince Warnock into offering a deal.

Having accepted the offer to take a look at Rosenthal, who has previously been on trial with QPR, Warnock decided he's not what he's looking for as the midfielder wouldn't be an improvement on anyone at the Cardiff City Stadium.
