As midday strikes, it's official: APRIL FOOLS!
All those travelling to the Molineux Stadium today have a great time and bring home the 3 points!
BREAKING: " CARDIFF CITY STADIUM DEAL DONE! "
Saturday 1st April 2017
After several months of private negotiation, Cardiff City FC and international company Sony are set to announce that a multi-million pound deal to rename the Cardiff City Stadium has been agreed. The deal will see the current Cardiff City Sstadium renamed to 'The Sony Stadium' effective from the start of the 2017/18 season in August 2017. This will be a rolling deal but has been agreed for a minimum period of 5 years
A spokesman for Cardiff City said,
"Whilst we wait for the official announcement, it is difficult to deny this is very welcome news for Cardiff City FC, as it secures the club a further income stream for at least the next 5 years" before adding,
"We have been in negotiation with senior parties based at Sony UK's Bridgend Plant for several months and we see it as a mutually beneficial opportunity for both parties to further their respective business." He added,
"Sony believe the deal will give them an opportunity to gain maximum advertising exposure in the increasingly expanding world of televised football, whilst the club see it as a golden opportunity to help reduce club debt and ease the burden placed upon us by Financial Fair Play Regulations. Hopefully, this will be reflected in (manager) Neil Warnock's summer recruitment campaign" An official announcement is expected to be made in Cardiff on Monday but an interim statement is expected to be made at midday today in an effort to clarify the situation before Cardiff City's game against Wolverhampton Wanderers

Great news. Hopefully as the spokesman says this gives warnock more room to work. And there's a lot worse sponsors to have!

Get your facts right. The Sony plant in Bridgend is still open; albeit with a greatly reduced staff
Dazza (see post above) and my brother both work there. Either that or they have some explaining to do when they get home off shift! LOL

Where I come from, that is Bridgend! LOL
Apologies for the 'get your facts right' comment. It looks harsher than it was intended in a fun thread and Tony Blue Williams made a good point, as usual
