Whats he doing these days? As I see him or his car, silver BMW with reg no PUR 5E, in Northampton, quite often. Usually going into or out of the same school, saw him this afternoon coming out of there. Thought he maybe a teacher?

Darren Purse (now aged 40) currently plays as a centre back for National League South club Bishop's Stortford. He also does a bit of coaching and is actively looking to get into football management (having applied for several jobs)

He was also a gentleman and very much family orientated. I recall he came to watch City in an away game last season or the season before. Can't remember where but he was in with the City fans and had a great reception and even a few songs were sung in his direction. And, of course, he responded well to the traditional

I see him quite often, but not had a chance to say hello yet, no doubt will sometime soon, noticed he had hair on his head yesterday!

At the awards night he was genuinely interested in speaking with fans. Most players leave asap he stayed until the end talking to everyone.

Darren always gave 100% for the city and always had time for the fans, a top man.
