Ben Turner found Guilt of Racial Abuse.

Former Cardiff City defender Ben Turner has been banned for five games after being found guilty of racial abuse.
The Burton Albion centre-back will serve the suspension after a Football Association commission decreed he had used abusive and/or insulting words to Brentford's Nico Yennaris.
Turner, who played 111 times for the Bluebirds between 2011 and 2016, joined Burton in the summer and has been a regular in Nigel Clough's side.
He was a cult figure with the Cardiff fans, scoring a famous goal in the 2012 League Cup final against Liverpool and playing in the Premier League campaign.
But an incident in the 94th minute of Burton's clash with Brentford on December 10, which ended in a 2-1 defeat for the Brewers, has seen Turner banned for five games and fined £8,000.
The 28-year-old must also attend an FA education course, after his words were deemed to reference Yennaris' ethnic origin, race or nationality.
The FA made the announcement on their official website.

You can read between the lines of the nature of the alleged comments...
Yennaris was born in Leytonstone, London. His father's family is of Cypriot origin and his mother's is of Chinese origin.
“The commission heard the allegation that in or around the 94th minute of the match between Brentford and Burton on Saturday 10 December 2016, Turner used abusive and/or insulting words towards Nico Yennaris, contrary to Rule E3(1).
“It was further alleged that this breach of Rule E3(1) was an ‘Aggravated Breach’ as defined in Rule E3(2), as it included a reference to ethnic origin and/or race and/or nationality.

OK so he has broken the rules and been punished, I get that. But the bit I have issue with is these 'Education Courses'.
I am old enough to remember the cold war and often we would hear of dissidents being sent on 'Education Courses' if they disagreed with the ruling resigme. That's why I have a worrying feeling about these courses as they seem very 1980's Soviet Union style way of doing things.
Maybe I'm being a little paranoid but I really don't like anything which imposes someone's else's view on someone else (brainwashing) no matter how much the person (or organisation) thinks it is for the best.
I would imagine Ben Turner already knows he has made a huge mistake and regrets it. If he doesn't then that's his choice to make.
