NEIL WARNOCK:

"Zohore was the biggest worry, he’s got a slight on the scan (calf). He did some light stuff yesterday and is travelling. We wouldn’t be surprised if he’s involved in the next two games."


"Aron (Gunnarsson) is not back until this morning. We’ve heard nothing but no news is good news."

" Rickie Lambert has a slight problem but we’ll reassess too."


" Regarding Johore,You just don’t know with calf injuries, I had a few in my time, some took 10 days and some took three weeks to recover. We don’t want to make it worse so if there’s any doubt we said not to push it and keep away until next weekend."

Neil Warnock has nothing but praise for Cardiff City fans and approx 1,280 Cardiff Fans are travelling to Wolves tomorrow.

Cardiff City were given 2,500 tickets,so there are plenty of tickets still available for the short journey to the Midlands.

Cardiff City have sold 1,280 tickets for Wolves away incl 50 comps

This morning, we brought you the news that Ronny Rosenthal’s son Tom had been on trial with the Bluebirds.

Warnock has confirmed it was just a one-game thing and the 20-year-old wont be staying at Cardiff.

He just came for a game. They asked us if we’d have a look at him. He’s a nice lad but he’s not better than what we’ve got. I’m sure he’ll get fixed up somewhere.





Neil Warnock has brought Tom Rosenthal on trial at Cardiff City and will be discussing Rosenthal later.


The son of former Liverpool striker Ronny Rosenthal is on trial with Cardiff City.

Tom Rosenthal is 20 years old and played on Thursday night for the Bluebirds' development side as they settled for a 1-1 draw with Sheffield United in Cardiff.

"We had discussions and couldn’t quite reach an agreement. We had a FFP meeting and we should hear about that next week. We’ve looked at players out of contract, those out on loan and we should know more about the figures in the next 10 days.
We’ve spoken to Peter about a compromised contract and until I know the figures I don’t know what we can offer."

"I know we had a good result against Ipswich but the lads needed a break. A lot of them managed to get away and the lads who had injuries were able to have some treatment
It’s a normal thing (to give 5 days off). If you’re not fit by the middle of March there’s something wrong with you. I wanted us to regroup a bit and since I’ve been here they’ve worked really hard. You’ve got to have some relaxation."

"I don’t get carried away."
"When someone’s done it for three months, it’s nice to see they’ve had consistency. But it doesn’t guarantee anything until they’ve done it for a few seasons. That’s why i think he’ll be with us and i think he needs to stay with us.
It fits like a glove at the moment and he needs to play another 35-40 games next season. If he scores 20 goals next season I imagine half of the Premier League will be after him. He’s got all the attributes. And I think myself and Cardiff are perfect for him."

"I don’t think safety is guaranteed. The league is so wide open we might need another couple of points.
But you’ve got to look ahead, I started looking ahead a few weeks ago after my conversations with the chairman and the board."

"We had a very good meeting last night which went on for three hours, regarding transfer targets. We’ve got to try and get the targets we think will help us. We’re a bit thin on the bench at the moment."

"You have to decide who you want."


"Today I’ll probably have 5 to 10 messages about players. Everyone’s got the best player you’ve ever seen!
You have to have your own ideas and the Championship is a difficult league. You’ve got to compete for 46 games in a season. More than likely, your forwards will always have a period where they need leaving out and someone else has to come in."
