Saadi is one for debate.

I think he'll be in the last season of his contract next year, so if we give him a chance and he comes good we may wave goodbye o him with no return. I guess we sell

Gunnarson - Shock horror. :o Warnock look like he wants to play a centre half as the DM, so we need the midfield 2 to be able to cover the ground and get the ball to the pacy 3 up front.

Connelly and junior not good enough

Re: Players whose time are up....

Yeah unsure on Saadi, wouldn't surprise me if he goes.

Connolly may stay because of his versatility.

Junior I like but for all his talent has he got enough goals or assists?

Luke, despite the ramblings of one individual on here, Saadi has allegedly been told he won't be back at the CCS next season but they didn't say why, which is sad. Never really given an opportunity despite him clearly knowing where the goal is! :ayatollah:

I think warnock likes to take a long hard look at players as well, shouldn't be to0 hard to offload though.

Also Ajayi and Adeyemi

Definitely the latter two, Luke but I'd like to think NW would have a look at Saadi. Time will tell but I was told that it wasn't a direct footballing issue(??) :ayatollah:

No wonder our wage bill is so high, 12 players listed above and a lot of wages and doubt any of them would make our best 11 under warnock.

No idea why Bennett is on this list, he played a blinder today...

I think Connolly has to be on a decent wage though and with Peltier and Jazz at RB i don't think there is a need to keep him.

Re: Players whose time are up....

Sat Mar 11, 2017 11:59 pm

It's not my list it's who I think warnock will move on. Personally I like Bennett but don't think warnock trusts him, I think that's why Halford plated to cover him.

Whitts has had it aweful when he come on

Re: Players whose time are up....

Time to rebuild, structuring wages around performances and younger hungry players.
Still need the Morris ons, bamba, gunnar son etc.
Whit's, noone, john ,time to move on.

Re: Players whose time are up....

Sun Mar 12, 2017 8:42 am

Offer Connely a lower wage as he's useful around the park but the trouble I see with these lists is WHO are going to take the players he wants to shift if they are on silly money as we cannot keep cancelling contracts, surely?

Not according to some of their contracts; http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/cardiff- ... on_id/2016

This is a stupid list.. the keepers will all leave, though I'd love to retain McGregor.
Pilks , Manga , Bennett and Connolly all good players. Sadly,O'Keefe hasn't had a chance under Warnock ,which is a shame.
Seriously don't rate Halford.....except as a sub!

Really?
It's just a list of people I think Warnock will want rid of in the summer.

The one I hope you're wrong about but doubt you are is Manga. I'm hoping if the likes of Whittingham, Pilkington and Lambert go we can keep him. I note you didn't include Kennedy and hope you're right with him. I'd very much like him to stay.

Manga's as good as gone, imo. A luxury we simply cant afford, & given his attitude at the beginning of this season, & the fact that he's not available during a busy January fixture schedule (Africa cup), I really cant see NW wanting to push the boat out simply to appease him. I'm sure we could get two or three new quality players in for his wages alone.

Re: Players whose time are up....

Sun Mar 12, 2017 12:42 pm

Imo at least 20 players will go one way or another at the end of the season, NW will want a clean slate.

McGregor
Amos
John
Manga
Noonie
Pilkington
Lambert
Whitts
Fred
Ajayi
Adeyemi
Okeefe
Kennedy
Saadi
Le Fondre
Oshilaja
Wharton
Huws

That's a few bobs worth of wages!!

I'd say you're probably right with that little lot. It sure will free up some heavy wages.

Most probably, bearing in mind that at least six or seven of the above are either out of contract, or ending a loan period.

Re: Players whose time are up....

i would keep Kennedy out of that list

Re: Players whose time are up....

Sun Mar 12, 2017 6:05 pm

I agree with much of what is being said on this thread. However, who goes will laso be influenced by their wages, contract, etc. If he gets rid of a couple
An equally important question is who will / should he build next years first team around.
From that viewpoint I would suggest
Manga Richards Gunnerson Rawls and Zahore (probably) Harris.
Also also I would love to see Manga. (Howevver more realistically it would be Morrison.)
That makes seven leaving 4 first team places to fill. NW is looking for 4 quality players
There will need of course be others in "the squad". Eg Halford maybe Conolly etc

As stated on another thread I thnk it is time up for Whitts and Pilkington for definite.
Most others on the list sem sensible. However, I would give Huws chance to prove himself. For me some fans judged him too early. (As with Rchards amd Zahore).
Ref: Kennedy and O keefe - they are young and have not had much chance. Therefore I wouldnt have an opinion on them. But NW and his coaches see them in training And I'll trust them to decide. :bluebird:

Re: Players whose time are up....

Connelly and Halford too similar for me apart from the fact Halford can play a midfield role which for me swings it in his favour. Manga will head back to France. Personally all those on loan plus whits noone and John can go.add to that Wilson and Amos .

Seriously wonder if people on here watch games. Halford has very disappointing. Pilks is still a very good player when he has a run in the side.. our best results recently have come with Connolly at right back.
Manga is class....We need to keep him!

Manga is one of the highest earners and out of contract and by the sounds of his agents wants to go back to France.

Pilks just doesn't seem to fit into warnocks way of playing he wants pace out wide .

In any case people are saying who they think warnock will get rid of not who they would get rid of some what game they watch doesn't really matter.

Re: Players whose time are up....

The following are out of contract and unlikely to stay..

Adeyemi
LeFondre
Ajeyi
Amos
Manga
McGregor

Unsure on..
Whittingham- apparently offered a new deal on lower wages. Think he might go

Hoilett likely to stay, but wages could still be a sticking point
Harris - hope he gets a new deal, he's early it in the last few weeks, Healey too

All other players currently in our squad have contracts ending in June 2018 except Pilkington, Ralls, Zohore, Richards, Bennett

So there's a lot of work to be done with the rest of the squad... Bamba, Morrison, Peltier, Gunnar all key players who will be able to walk next June.

Makes the squad look fragile.

I'm hoping Kennedy and Huws come back stronger.
Not sure about O'Keefe, he seems to have been unlucky, but I'm not sure how he would fit in.
Wilson I wasn't impressed with.

Then you've got Lambert who's a big earner, but injured a lot , Murphy who's probably cheap, but just cover, Fred who's got another year, but surely will be shipped back to Belgium, Saadi who's knocking them in over there and may or may not come back, Halford who'll be kept as cover for next year then will probably leave, John who's likely to be looking for a move, which is a shame as I still think he's got ability and Noone who has a year left, but surely must leave for his own sanity.

Interesting summer
