The Football League's bottom club Newport County have sacked manager Graham Westley and placed first-team coach Michael Flynn in caretaker charge until the end of the season.
A statement on the club's official website confirmed Westley had been 'relieved of his first-team duties with immediate effect', with County looking doomed to relegation. Westley's assistant Dino Maamria has also left the club.
The statement read: 'The board of directors would like to place on record its thanks to Graham and Dino for their hard work in challenging circumstances.

'Graham has worked extremely hard in improving standards throughout the club.
'First-team coach Michael Flynn will become caretaker manager until the end of the season. He is currently forming his team and we will make a further announcement later today.'
Westley replaced Warren Feeney in October and made a good start, winning five of his first nine games.
Since then County have won just once in 20 matches and sit bottom of the Football League, 11 points adrift of safety.
Westley's final game in charge was a 4-0 home defeat by second-bottom Leyton Orient on Saturday, a performance described by the manager as 'really abject'.
It had been reported Westley had been given the next two games against Crewe Alexandra and Morecambe to save his job.
That was denied in a statement by the board of directors on Tuesday, and they have acted even more swiftly in a bid to turn County's fortunes around.
