" CARDIFF CITY TONIGHT WERE DOWN TO THEIR BARE BONES AND "

Neil Warnock named just six subs because of illness and injury tonight.

My View/Opinion

Cardiff City had their backs to the wall for virtually 90 mins of the game.

Blackburn virtually dominated the first-half, but thanks to Kenneth Zohore again, City went in one nil up.

Warnock was down to his bare bones tonight, out injured Gunnarsson,Manga,Lambert,Healey and Peltier.

To be fair a draw was a good result tonight in my opinion.

BLACKBURN 1 CARDIFF CITY 1
City scorers
37th min Kenneth Zohore

Crowd 10,645
Away Crowd 261 Cardiff fans

McGregor, Richards, Bennett, Morrison, Halford, Bamba, Whittingham, Ralls, K Harris, Hoilett, Zohore

Subs: Murphy, John, Noone, Pilkington, M Harris, Meite

Cardiff City tonight travelled to Blackburn with a weakened squad through injuries and with a following of less than 200 fans were really up against it.

Blackburn put Cardiff under the early pressure and Cardiff were very lucky not to be at least a goal down.

As the game went on, Cardiff were continually under pressure, with Blackburn hitting the crossbar and attacking City time after time.

But on the break in the 37th min,Hoilett crosses the ball in to the Blackburn box and bang Kenneth Zohore made it 0-1 to City :bluebird: :bluebird:

H/T Blackburn 0 Cardiff City 1

Blackburn continued to press forward.

City had to clear the ball off the line,Blackburn continued to attack and really put the pressure on City.

City then again had to clear off the line.

Declan John came on for Kadeem Harris in the 69th min.

Junior Hoilett was replaced by Craig Noone in the 76th min

It was still all Blackburn.

Pilkington came on for Kenneth Zohore with eight mins left.

City had their backs to the wall.

In the 90th min,Blackburn finally equalised 1-1

F/T Blackburn 0 Cardiff City 1 :bluebird: :bluebird:

Under circumstances and with Mowbray improving Blackburn it's a good point, but you would have hoped to hang on. Still missing. Few leaders but NW will address it.

We win against a very poor Birmingham side on Saturday then we hit the 50 points Warnock wants, we can all relax and let Warnock try a few things out between now and the end of the season.

It's all about next season now.

It was a good point indeed in the end, as City took a defensive battering in the second half

Comment of the night came from Ian Walsh (I think) on Radio Wales...

"I'm not sure why Craig Noone is on the field...he might as well have a Blackburn shirt on!" :laughing6:

NW will be 95% certain of who's going and staying. Imo I think Richards will stay and Noonie and Pilkington will be gone.

An acceptable point when we probably would had none last season. The Warnock factor is the difference.

Chris,

Noone did not look interested.

A good point in my opinion.

Good they are proper inconsistent players you won't achieve anything with them in the side.

Think losing the players we did upset the way we played as we never got control of game or looked comfortable! But sure this will be addressed next season so that even if lose players those coming in won't weaken the team like it looked tonight.

He's normally critical but tonight was especially so! But going on rob Phillips commentary not surprising? ;)

Noone and John two poor substitutions, both very poor when they came on.

There was no else apart from the kids the squad is as weak as it could be tonight.

It just shows we haven't got strength in depth but I expect Warnock to right it next season.

100% agree, Noone is a sucker.1 good game in 5 is no good.
Declan can't defend..

Where was Matt Connolly, usually a mistake in him but very solid defensively . I'm hoping our back four next season is Jazz, manga, bamba and a uality natural right back. Warnock will put things right in the summer :ayatollah: :ayatollah:

There was quite a few injuries, but also Connolly and Gunnarsson were ill.
