' We might lose Kenneth Zohore '

Tue Mar 07, 2017 8:39 pm

' We might lose Kenneth Zohore '

Kenneth Zohore tonight scores his 8th goal of the season and Sky Sports have just not stopped talking about him, even showing his goal and others of his.
Other clubs will now surely send scouts to watch him.

We might end up with a club bidding for him.

Would the Cardiff City Committee sell?

If Zohore scores another 5 goals by the end of the season, what value on him?

Hmmmm?

If he carries on like this I think we can safely say he'll be gone. Big payout for us but we'll lose one hell of a player when he fully develops.

I bet Allardyce and Pulis creaming their pants over him he will stay and will score us the goals to the Prem next season. :ayatollah:

He will be with us next season unless a ridiculous offer comes in, with the money in the game you never know despite him only recently becoming any sort of player. Surely this is not a negative, it's great news. We have a decent striker or a ton of cash for a player who wasn't even average. Got to be happy city fans

In reality if the big offer comes in hard to resist it. :?

Players leaving has never bothered me, they come they go at all clubs. We are in a great position.

Considering he was crap earlier in season

Re: ' We might lose Kenneth Zohore '

Tue Mar 07, 2017 9:49 pm

I would sell and put in a decent sell on clause. With the crazy money in China if he keeps deveolping he'll be worth a fortune, if not not he's someone else's expensive mistake

Re: ' We might lose Kenneth Zohore '

Tue Mar 07, 2017 10:06 pm

Don't think any meaningful offers will come in for him.

Clubs will wait and see what he can do over a full season.

That's how I see it just hope he fires us to the Prem and we would have a good chance of keeping because he will be playing for A PL club. :ayatollah:

Re: ' We might lose Kenneth Zohore '

If he thinks about it he will want to stay and improve under NW!

Stupid money might come in but the Club don't need the money and get rid of other players to get money in ie Noonie pilkington John huws okeefe Kennedy to name a few. Things look and feel much better about the club and long may it continue.

Re: ' We might lose Kenneth Zohore '

If they watched him tonight then I wouldn't worry, apart from his goal he was like the old Ken couldn't trap a bag of cement.

Re: ' We might lose Kenneth Zohore '

Tue Mar 07, 2017 10:09 pm

Ned, Kenneth Zohore was full of praise for Neil Warnock and his man management skills in a recent interview and stated he was more than happy to be at Cardiff City and finally getting to grips with The Championship, so my guess is he'll stay...unless stupid money is paid for his services! :ayatollah:

Re: ' We might lose Kenneth Zohore '

Tue Mar 07, 2017 10:19 pm

To be honest, if big money comes in for him, we should get rid. There's no better man manager in this league than Warnock, and given Zohore seems to need said management to get him playing, I'd be convinced that he won't do any damage to us if we sold him to another British club.

If he's sensible he will stick with Warnock, but from comments about his attitude in the past I suspect he'd probably get his head turned by a big salary offer? I suspect that, if he goes, it will have been because Warnock thinks he can get better for cheaper, and players who he doesn't have to keep on top of so much.

For the love of God though, please insert a sell on clause this time!

If he stays he will get better and his worth will grow. But City being City and Tan being Tan if a bid comes in at 2 million he is as good as gone. Sad but this has been the case with us for years a very badly run club that has a bad record of selling players on the cheap.

there was that January a couple of years back where we settled a few contracts. and i think quite a few think we should have got more for Marshall. other than that.
Ross.? who wasnt exactly an instant sucess at Leeds.
and youd have to be Nostadamus to predit Gestedes 2 multi million pound moves.

Who have we sold on the cheap?

Aaron Ramsey although nothing to do with Tan

sort of see where your coming from. but we were skint and a player is only worth what someone else will pay.
plus he was only 17 with a dozen or so starts to his name.

Silly to sell, he will cost a lot more to replace in fees and wages.

As Nukes says, you can't blame the Ramsey transfer on Tan and the big error there was no sell-on clause. Ridsdale (as a direct result of Sam's latter year failures) was the architect of that (and other situations)

The current crop, where actually sold rather than released with a pay-off, haven't been sold off too cheaply as City have been in no position to 'hold out' for bigger fees and (as in the case of David Marshall) the only option was to take a deal that included 'add-ons' depending on appearances and Premier League survival

I don't think anyone would take (quote) "all night" to list the number of players with any real value who were sold on the cheap...mainly because we've had so few! ;)

i think the 500k for Moore and 3mill or what ever for Mason were good deals. and going back to Ramsey a sell on clause {even if Arsenal were willing to include one because we were in no more a position to demand one than we were to hold out for more money } would so far have earned us zero. a figure that could well remain at zero should he move on at the end of a contract.

must add i dont BLAME Tan, he is not a football man ,doubt very much he spent days on end kicking a ball around with mates, had a subuteo set, or collected stickers. dispite his marketing mistakes he has backed his managers decisions which time and again have rebounded on him as poor decisions which HE inevitably gets blamed for. i just hope there is enough there to back Warnock for one more roll of the dice and that his luck changes .
