Very true, County fans are mainly the diehards from Ringland,Pill and near the town center, most follow City, Liverpool, etc

I would like them to stay up personally, I certainly don't class them as a rival. I would say the valleys of Gwent would show more of an affinity to Merthyr than the exiles, that's down I feel to Newport not being a welcoming place to those within the valleys. They will never get the support from the Valleys as we just don't feel attached to them. Bloody hell even the Ebbw railway turns right at the M4 to Cardiff!

These are the same people who were saying during our troubles with OGS that there were City fans defecting to mud stadium in their droves,Yeah,in ya dreams. They even had the gall to critisise City for not lending them players, who in their right mind would want to go there even if only on loan.
I feel for Wrexham,if they'd have gone up they would be challenging top half of Lg 1 by now.
They blamed City the last time they went under, this time there is no-one but themselves to blame, goodnight farewell good ridence![]()

Not strictly true. Kewnty had two choices when looking for investment. They had a consortium of business people led by Matt Southall (Acorn Recruitment), a die hard fan who'd already seriously invested over the years and Les the unemployed lorry driver and his lucky millions. They went for the latter. I always thought that was a fatal mistake because for all his money he knew how to drive lorries but eff all about business or running a football club, whereas the consortium knew both (probably couldn't drive a lorry between them though). They 100% certainly didn't fleece him. In fact he never dipped into his capital. He won £45.5m and apparently put in maybe £2m so not fleeced in anyway. Plus he only gave them money from his interest. Les had his 5 minutes of fame when they got back in the league but things changed when he had to give his Mrs 50% of his winnings as a divorce settlement. He was still very rich but got bored with football and this country and buggered off to a tax haven in West Indies. What he did was sold his shares to the supporters trust and walked away. In fact Kewnty are still paying him back to the tune of £6K per month. Fleeced? I don't think so...
