All I will say is Russell Slade inherrited unbelievable squad at Cardiff City and players like Gunnarson were totally ignored.
Yes we finished 9th under Slade, but a good manager at worst would of got us in the play-offs with that squad.
For me nothing but a yes man.

Former Cardiff City boss Russell Slade sacked by League One strugglers Coventry City
Former Cardiff City manager Russell Slade has been sacked by Coventry City after just two and a half months in charge.
Slade won only three games in 16 in all competitions - and just one in the league - in his short time in charge.
It is the 56-year-old's second sacking of the season, after being relieved of his duties at Charlton Athletic earlier in the season.
Slade left his role as Head of Football with the Bluebirds in June last year to sign a three-year contract at Charlton.
He was then sacked in November, before moving to the Ricoh Arena to take charge of troubled League One strugglers Coventry on December 21.

Unfair on him. He is an old school journeyman lower league manager, still better than Ole and Trollope though.
We got an old school top end championship manager now and doesn't it show.

I feel for Slade, he never really stood a chance at Coventry, they were doomed long before he took over the reigns. I also feel for the Cov fans, another great club ruined by their owners!!

Agree - And SLADE Did more than that " CLUELESS CLOWN - OGS "
Sun Mar 05, 2017 9:32 pm
To be fair, Slade came in after the disastrous OGS rein and steadied the ship. The football was largely dire, but apart from that, I got no complaints about the job he did here.
Newport County will probably need a new Manager soon, I think he'd be a great long term appointment for them. Not even Fergie could now save them from the drop, but a Manager like Slade would stop the rot at Cewnty.
Mon Mar 06, 2017 6:53 am
A Coventry fan and he said for all the issues off the pitch, Slade didn't help himself.
Bizarre squad selections and tactical decisions repeatedly screwed them. He constantly left out their most creative players and even started a game with four centre backs across the back-line... with two full backs on the bench... and brought on the two full backs to rectify his decision hence wasting two subs to correct an obvious error. This sacking comes as no surprise.
Mon Mar 06, 2017 7:42 am
I never liked the guy as a 'manager'. Been stealing a living for years and doing something that many people could do a lot better.
Tactically shit, motivationally shit and a constant failure.
A fat ex PE teacher, next to useless.
Mon Mar 06, 2017 8:01 am
I thought Slade was going to be the next Arsene Wenger?
Mon Mar 06, 2017 8:28 am
Watching CCFC under Slade was an ordeal plain and simple how the hell does this guy make a living in football ??
