' Neil Warnock Speaks after todays result '

Neil Warnock:
'He took it well, didn't he?!' Neil Warnock jokes about Jazz Richards' own goal after Cardiff City defeat to QPR

Neil Warnock bemoaned his side's misfortune after Cardiff City's defeat to Queens Park Rangers, but enjoyed a joke about Jazz Richards' unlucky own goal.

Richards deflected the ball beyond Allan McGregor after blocking Matt Smith's header to hand Rangers a late winner.

Yeni Ngbakoto had earlier cancelled out Sol Bamba's powerful header to level the scores.

But Warnock wasn't too harsh on Richards despite the telling error that meant the Bluebirds went back down the M4 empty-handed.

"He took it well didn't he?" joked the Cardiff boss when asked about Richards' own goal.

"Swivelled and put it in the top corner! I don't think Smith was going to score, was he?

"It was going miles wide but that's unfortunate isn't it?"

Warnock also berated inexperienced referee Darren England - officiating his first game at Championship level.

The Cardiff boss felt the referee got several crucial decisions wrong, one that crucially led to Ngbakoto's free kick, which McGregor parried away for the decisive corner.

"It was the young referee's first game in charge and I was a bit disappointed really in that situation," he added.

"When you're one goal up, cruising, to give them a chance like that...

"The ref got conned to give away a free-kick for the second goal.

Warnock was not happy with the officials
"Rallsy doesn't touch him, the kid gives and he (the referee) gives a free-kick and they score from it. "

Agree with NW on this one. Thought the ref was easily conned and missed a stonewall penalty when Noony was clearly held back. Hey ho, onwards and upwards

The ref tried to shake Warnock's hand at the end of the game as Neil wandered on the pitch...but Warnock swiftly withdrew his hand for anywhere near the ref.
I thought the ref let a lot go, but was the same standard as a lot of Championship and slightly better than some that blow up at every opportunity
