GARETH BALE has announced he is opening a new sports bar and grill in home town Cardiff.

The Welshman chose St David’s Day to reveal the plans for ‘Elevens’ as part of his growing brand.

Dragons flier Bale, 27, said: “It’s always been a big ambition of mine to open a sports bar.

“I don’t think there’s a place where you go just to watch sport – and it’s going to have the best burger in Cardiff.”

Brewer Brains is part of the venture and chairman John Rhys added: “We were absolutely delighted to be contacted by Gareth Bale and his team. Brains and Gareth are Cardiff and Wales’ most famous products.

“We are delighted to be working together. What could be a better match?



“The site of the Elevens Bar & Grill has been a pub since the 1730s and with this new lease of life it will remain an iconic Cardiff venue for many more years to come.”

The footballer spent a year touring other pubs for research purposes with Rhys assuring fans that Bale stuck to orange juice.

I know comedy club was next door but can't say looked recently and every thing is changing quickly around there.
