Cardiff City striker Kenneth Zohore has been described as a ‘secret’ weapon by Neil Warnock but are there things even City fans don’t know about him?
The Danish striker has been a revaluation since Neil Warnock rolled the dice to put him on against Wolves in December.
Zohore has managed six goals in his last six games, including four in his last two with braces against Rotherham United and Fulham.
The 23-year-old is becoming a real fan favourite in South Wales but are there some things the supporters don’t know about him?
' Scoring goals is a family trait '
Ever wonder where Zohore gets his fine finishing ability from? Perhaps it’s something to do with the fact he’s related to former Chelsea star Didier Drogba.
Drogba is the second cousin of Kenneth Zohore’s father so football certainly runs in the family and there are worse players to receive advice from.
Zohore probably isn’t going to reach the heights of his Champions League-winning third cousin but he’s impressing in the Championship so far, seemingly getting better with each game he plays.
' Zohore was one of Champions League’s youngest '
The big Dane made quite the impression when he broke through at Copenhagen, so much so that he was handed a Champions League debut at the tender age of 16.
And it wasn’t a bad pace to make his first appearance among Europe’s elite – he was thrown on at Camp Nou against Barcelona with Copenhagen only trailing by one goal to nil, though Lionel Messi made it two before the final whistle.
Zohore is still one of the 10 youngest players to make an appearance in the Champions League, wandering on at Camp Nou only 16 years and 263 days old.
He went on to appear against Chelsea in the March which followed too, playing more than 30 minutes as a substitute as Copenhagen drew 0-0 at Stamford Bridge, although it did mean they were out of the competition after losing 2-0 at home in the first leg.
He was also the youngest player to appear in the Danish Superliga, making his first team debut for Copenhagen at 16 years and 35 days old.
' He’s had trials with Europe’s best '
Zohore has been given the chance to impress by some of the world’s best teams during his career, having trials at Chelsea and Inter Milan.
It’s unclear whether Drogba played a part in securing him a trial, but he was given the opportunity by the Blues despite it not working out.
He also signed for Italian giants Fiorentina in 2012 but he didn’t manage a single appearance for the Serie A club, moving back to Denmark on-loan and then permanently
