"One Sharon Warnock"

Sat Feb 25, 2017 9:47 am

How about a nice chant for Mrs Warnock today.

She has overcome health issues and allowed and encouraged Neil to come and manage city.

Without Mrs Warnock we would probably be relegated already. Instead I have faith in our club and a sense of pride for the first time since before the rebrand. Not just because of performances but knowing that NW is playing a huge part in putting the heart back into our club in every area... on the pitch, on the training ground and in every aspect of the behind the scenes work. All of that has only been possible due to Mrs Warnock allowing and encouraging NW to come and manage us.

Sharon will be at the game today and it would be magnificent if the fans paid a small tribute to her.

"There's only one Sharon Warnock, one Sharon Warnock"... will probably bring a few tears to a few eyes.

One Sharon Warnock, there's only one Sharon Warnock, One Sharon Warnock...There's only one Sharon Warnock!
Yeah that would be brilliant if we sung that! I think it would be a great thing to do especially after the health issues she has gone through and after all that she could have said to Neil...Retire now but she encouraged him to join us unselfishly!

Good god. Modern football for you I suppose.

Chanting about the Managers wife, has it really come to this? Absolute cringe fest.

Doesn't hurt , showing a bit of support to a woman who's been backing out manager and has fought cancer recently.

Nice touch imho

Tbh mate thats what i thought when i read this post. Although when you think what she has been through and the good feeling between the fans and the warnocks right now, then why not aye?
For too long we have had to much negativity around the club. This would be a good story imo.

Hey, that makes three of us.

"Sharon give us a wave" when we are 2-0 up would be a good call

Each to their own mate, not for me like, I go to watch the Football and Warnock is paid to be the manager, I don't feel the need to sing about his wife, we would have a minutes silence if his dog died if some people had their way such is the way Football is going.

Are you sure?

Nice gesture and all that but predicting the chant should illicit such a reaction is what is now known as "Virtue Signalling"

Social Media has become full of people tapping themselves on the back for, say; giving a person on the street a coffee and then posting how they changed the poor guys life."

Let's just chant because we want to and not gain recognition or gratitude.

Sorry, just a bugbear of mine.

Haha

Of course its cringable... But football is full of cringe fest chants.... "The greatest team in football the world has ever seen".... Hahaha

However given some of the chants I've heard over the years giving a compliment to your managers wife is hardly a football sin.

No way! Great sentiment but that's a bit cringeworthy. Lots of people live with terrible health probs but we dont sing about them.
Glad Warnock is here and his missus is recovering, but no.
Get behind the team. :bluescarf:
