Today is the 36th anniversary of my first ever trip to Ninian Park. Never forget as a kid pestering my dad to take me there. As an 8 year old I remember looking at those huge floodlights and the Captain Morgan rum advert on the Bob Bank roof. It was a cold night and we were staying down Barry with my grandparents. I was made to where what felt like 100s of layers and I probably resembled a weeble or the Michelin mans lovechild. Anyway Ccfc beat Newcastle 1-0 thanks to a goal from Peter Kitchen. Needless to say I was hooked and for last 36 years I have seen some tremendous highs and many lows. We were in 2nd tier then and are back inn2nd tier now. In that time I think I've seen 8 promotions and 8 relegations plus FA Cup and League Cup finals as well as European football. I've met many great mates through the city and spent god knows how much cash. Best seasons for me have to be 82-83 under ashurst, the Eddie May 93 promotion and the 2002-03 play off winning campaign. Worst seasons were premier league in red and the following season. Best games have to be QPR in 2003, Barnsley FA Cup semi and Leeds in fa cup. Will be down at the ccs later with 2 of my 3 boys. Cmon city.
