Royal Parasites

Fri Feb 24, 2017 2:53 pm

Just been past the Tramshed and there is police everywhere. Motorcades, range rovers, the works.

All this for the Duke of York, what a joke.

I was at the opening of the same place by Carwyn Jones and he turned up with just one aide!

The money we waste on the royal filth is a farce

I'm no fan of the royals, and in fact don't know a lot about them. However, I doubt if whoever was around today personally requested a huge police presence, and I doubt if he invited himself to come here either. I am sure he would have been asked to do whatever it was he was doing, and would probably have preferred to be doing something else with his time.

Royal Parasites.......really thats a bit harsh. Carwyn Jones had one aide because hes a fecking idiot with a job that is meaningless.

I expect when Carwyn Jones was there, that was'nt his aide, that was the crowd who turned up to see him. I doubt if anyone would try to harm him, would'nt give much publicity to any would be attackers, the rest of the world would ask Carwyn who?

You'd think so wouldn't you?

However, he was interviewed on Radio Wales and he is touring the UK running a X-Factor style Dragon's Den project but without investing money. He is trying to find the next big tech idea.

He did not want to just invest money and be a venture capitalist, he wanted to provide his experience (?) and connections.

The post title actually seems apt in this case.

I'm no fan but I'm sure they make billions in tourism.

Always a deceptive statement.

LONDON make billions in tourism. Not saying they should be dissolved but without them the tourism would still flow and The Palaces will still be there to visit.

Thousands turn out to see the royal family wherever they visit in this country and abroad, and they don't take the palaces on tour. I'm no fan, but there are plenty who are, and if there was no interest in them they would not be followed by the cameras everywhere they go.

She is YOUR Queen too, whether you like it or not, bach! ;)

As for the OP?

Well, all I can say is that I don't engross myself with the royal family anymore than they do me but I do respect what those at the top, the Queen in particular, bring to the country in both income and prestige, as well as the personal sacrifices they have to make when every single aspect of their lives are exposed, dissected and regurgitated into stories for the Press

The monarchy's modern influence is pretty much ambassadorial and ceremonial and a little research will show the Queen is still very well respected throughout the world; often being the 'ace in the pack' last resort to persuade other countries to do business with us. She is still very much in demand and even the irrepressible Donald Trump (another debate completely) is creaming himself to meet up with her!

But the biggest irony to me is that some of you people wanting to remove the royal family and rip the guts out of British heritage are the same ones who went hugely (and often offensively) vocal when a certain Vincent Tan tried to do the same to a certain football club! :? ;)

Often after Prince Phillip has fu,caked the deal up, like when we were trying to get an oil deal with Nigeria and when their ambassador walked in, in full tribal dress and Phil said You look as if your ready for bed

Because he's got 10,000 men, some of them turned up with the chief...whats the problem?

Why is Carwyn?
