Claudio Ranieri was named Leicester manager on 13 July 2015 on a three-year contract. Anyone predict he would win the Premier League in his first season, take the club to the last-16 of the Champions League, AND STILL come nowhere close to seeing out his deal? Incredible!

BREAKING NEWS

Leicester have sounded out Roberto Mancini about whether he'd be interested in the job, but there have been no formal discussions, according to Sky sources.

The club has also made contact with "other possibilities".

More information here regarding Ranieiri’s sacking, according to Sky sources.

Leicester senior players met with owners in Seville yesterday morning and a meeting was called by owners. The players expressed their concerns about Ranieri, but it was the owners who made the decision.

There was also a breakdown in relationship between Ranieri and other coaching staff, including assistant manager Craig Shakespeare.

Your right for the last 10-15 years,loyalty has been lost and money has ruined football.

Those at the top said he had their unwavering support just two weeks ago. I said on this forum yesterday that clubs make the right noises for the fans, but what they say and what they do are two different things. That is why I am keeping an open mind on Warnock. The club are making the right noises, but we all know that means absolutely nothing in this game.
