" Sad to see Malky Mackay "

I watched a sky sports programme with Malky Malky in Scotland and Malky involved with Scottish football.

Malky was in a school talking to the kids and telling them they should all believe and want to play for Scotland one day.
But it wasn't the Malky we once knew at Cardiff City, he looked a broken, tired man and there was no real passion in his speech and you could just see he was just going through the motions.

For me it was sad to see as he was a very proud and passionate man at Cardiff City and would lift those people around him.

And before any of the usual accusations and sarcasm, nothing was proved against Malky regarding fraud or back handers, despite a two year witch hunt and over £1million spent in doing this.

My point is,it was very sad to see after knowing Malky at Cardiff City and what he was once like.

Malky was a leader and was looked up to.

I really don't know what the future holds for Malky Mackay? ?

Malky was our leader
We believed in him.

Whatever people's thoughts are over the man - he got well and truly busted by events.

He has been a manager since he was with us though, so there is no reason for him not to be a manager again in the future. Whatever the rights and wrongs may have been when he was here, if a club owner rates him highly enough, I am sure they won't care about his falling out with Tan, and would judge him on merit. If someone considers him good enough, he is certainly young enough.

I wish him all the best for the future a brilliant manager at city full of passion a true Cardiff man just the way we like em .heart on sleeve full of passion.
Tan went to great lengths the ruin many never proved a thing .
Good luck malky and thanks for you time at city apart from the red shirts I personally loved it when many was manager.
Stuff Tan shame on him.

I saw that as well, Annis and I agree that he looked a different

I saw that interview too and I do agree he looked a different man.
However, what I would also say is that nothing was proved as MM decided not to contest in court and made a public apology to VT instead. This coupled with various newspaper articles quoting texts sent via a CCFC phone is sort of proof in the pudding I'd say.
My comments are neither sarcastic or vindictive in any way (I actually think he was one of if not the best manager we had in my lifetime - up til now).

Life isn't fair.

He could have walked when Tan first wanted him gone. You battle your boss and a multi millionaire at your peril.

One of the best managers we ever had, without any doubt.
Those texts were blatantly racist though and he should be addressing kids about his own, serious mistakes.

Annis you shouldn't try to pre-empt posters replies by stating that any which are different to yours are just sarcastic accusations which are unproven when that is quite wrong. MM sent racist and sexist texts. I accept they were not found to be criminal as they were made in private communications but that doesn't mean their content was not offensive. He also publically apologised to Tan and he wouldn't do that unless he had done something wrong.

Also there is an ongoing court case which hasn't yet concluded. MM may well be cleared of any wrong doing but it is also just as likely that he won't it is not up to you to decide that and try and prevent others from having their say.

Personally I think it is very sad that MM finds himself washed up at such a young age.

However, in this day and age you simply don't say or do what he did otherwise you are setting yourself up for a huge fall which is exactly what has happened to him.

I think the witch hunt went a bit cold, when a certain agent provided Kenneth Zohore via Belgium during last Seasons Transfer Embargo, is my theory? It is a shame Slade couldn`t build up his confidence by continuing with Pilks upfront alone till he wore himself into ground.

A manager like no other Cardiff have had in my time of supporting them very active on touch line could hear malky over terrace chanting was very interactive with fans and cared and took time to get to know the fans.. Very sad how his time come to an end as where would we b now if malky was still there we would be fighting for every point regardless what division we were in..

He's up there with Eddie May for me! Easily my best times watching the club under him. I like Warnock but I still miss Malky as Manager

Sorry I have to disagree - the 'events' were largely of his own making.

I was at Anfield, I supported him through it all - in hindsight I should have been more circumspect after his disgraceful (to me) grinning reaction on MOTD when asked about the vacant Everton job.

I do, though, share Annis' view that it is a terrible shame to see him like this. I hope he does sort himself out.

Lots of people having a very blinkered outlook on MM here. I see nobody offering constructive comments on the alleged wrong doings mentioned in an earlier text.
Reggie and Ronnie could have been passionate and vocal on the touch lines - means nowt when you consider everything else IMO.

Malky took us to a cup final against one of the best teams in europe and even though we lost we all came from there knowing we just giving Liverpool a hell of a game and scared them I remember going to the coaches and we all had pride.

The following season he took us up to the premiership something I never thought I would see in my lifetime so to me Malky is a hero and if I met him again I would tell him that.

Malky was loved by the supporters and the staff and even though Tan has made all these reason why he got rid of Malky
its not the truth he got rid of Malky to the cost of the clubs time in the premiership because he was jealous.

Tan states this in his interview with Sky " Malky didnt get Cardiff promoted I did " , so in my view Malky would have kept us up and it was Malky who got us promoted however it was Tan who got us relegated

Malky was No different to other managers when it came to transfer dealings
problem was Tan took it personnel the other 50 or so managers just got on with it
maybe the chinky txt didn`t sit well with Tan culture difference ?
just banter for most but not to Tan.

malky was the only manager who has got us to the top during my time, but it should also be said that no other manager has has ever had the sort of funds that Malky had. £8m on a player who hardly played would have been unbelievable for this club a few years earlier. For most of my life, the entire teams I have watched probably never came to £8m combined.

In life the easiest way to prove a point is to exaggerate your side out of all proportion and diminish your opponents into insignificance, it is the basis of the English legal Court process and my Wife uses it very well! (there goes a Sexist Racist remark, me being a bloke and Welsh, the Wife being an English Lady!).

Anyway, coming back to "Let he who cast stones" if you spent several million pounds on Private Investigators, had access to mobile phones, computers, emails, any correspondence, how many of us wouldn't end up in a far worse position than MM, with our private innocuous throwaway comments coming back to haunt us.

On reflection MM's success with us was remarkable; an owner who hated him, poorly helped and supported by a Board who seemed clueless on all matters Football and possibly his biggest mistake, relying on Moody, a puffed up self important "captain lightweight" to advise him.

Bad or sad events in life leave scars that change us forever, with every day being an ongoing struggle, especially when we believe them to be unfair or subsequent events show them to be incorrect or totally untrue, DJ, one of the finest up and coming Managers at the time, can lay testament to that. Good blokes struggle the most with injustice and make no mistake, MM was and is a "Good Bloke" and all those who want to harp on about how he should spend his life in penance, it seems to me that the current USA President makes worse comments on a daily basis!

I'm one of the minority who didn't trust Malky, he always looked shifty, slimy and knew how to say the right things at the right times.

Don't get me wrong, got to give credit where due for where he took the club however all this was tarnished by the racist texts and dodgy dealings.

I hope he manages to find a new club and start a fresh as he deserves another crack at the whip.

Spot on ! I loved Malky but was really disappointed with what came out. I don't want rascists in my club no matter how good they may or may not be at their job.

Also, do not discount further cases on the finance side.

Sad to see him now though.
